I love these so much. I would love to make them but it hurt way too much to see the the GBA Motherboard massacred.
ОтветитьNot the motherboards! ;(
ОтветитьI love the maniacal laughter before sawing the motherboards 😂
ОтветитьThis is sick
ОтветитьBe pretty cool to cut out a USB-C slot in an after market GBA cartridge to fix the angle of seeing the wires.
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьYou brought me to an idea. I'll try to make a gameboy cartridge that you can just plug in to your gameboy and then use it as a controller for the switch
ОтветитьOne of your best videos yet!
ОтветитьWhy you didn't just make a custom PCB, and then use the original membranes/ buttons is beyond me... But I guess the project is neat.
ОтветитьBeen loving all your videos my dude!
ОтветитьWhatttttttt this is sick!! This is why I love the modding community!
ОтветитьI suppose there is too late to tell you that exists an easier way commercially available that doesn't require any hardware modification, it can be used on any GB model and leave the Gameboy intact.
An Australian company named Inside Gadgets has made years ago GB and GBA cartridges that include a wireless emitter inside. Combined with their receiver, it turns the console into a controller. Beware that their USB receiver does not work with the Switch but they also have receivers for older Nintendo consoles, including GameCube. If you combine their Gamecube receiver with an adapter to connect GameCube controllers to the Switch, it works.
You need these things
- GameBoy cartridge emitter
- GameCube receiver
- GameCube USB adapter compatible with Switch
That will work with any model of Gameboy, including the original, pocket, color, GBA, and GBA SP. Even things like Analogue Pocket should work. Beware, the Gameboy cartridge is not compatible with LR buttons on GBA. But there is also the GBA cartridge that works on GBA, GBA SP, NDS, and NDS Lite.
I was hoping this would be a cartridge to put in a normal Gameboy.
ОтветитьAnother (mostly official) non destructive way is using a GBA original/SP or GBA micro (gba as gamecube controller mode if using the gba player or gba as gc controller homebrew) connected via Wii U/Switch gamecube adapter.
ОтветитьYou should make it so u can view the switch on the gameboy through ips screens
Ответитьthis is amazing
ОтветитьWeird and awesome!
ОтветитьThat’s so awesome!
ОтветитьActually isnt a nes nso controller a gb controller 🤓🤓🤓
ОтветитьI mean it is cool, but I also just don't think its really worth it.
ОтветитьNintendo Company watching your videos and getting mad at their engineers for not doing it first 😂
ОтветитьI was fine until you snapped off the right side of the gba motherboard. Then I cringed hard.
ОтветитьLove this. I'd thought of doing a similar thing so it's interesting to see you encounter the same sort of issues as I've had with these sort of projects before! They look great.
ОтветитьThat was pretty funny top to bottom. The laugh, the "swearing" , ect. Very cool idea. Now you just hafta make one in an SP. Yeah, I know, I know. Nice job 🤘
ОтветитьU should glue a game in the game slot so u can cover the hole plus spy the controller as a gameboy
ОтветитьDo you have an in-depth of the video on the GBA controller? I want to make one my son would think it’s awesome.
ОтветитьWhat a cool idea!
ОтветитьI guess I’m crazy, because I want this
ОтветитьWish they added Super Mario Land.
ОтветитьWhat's crazy is there is a controller small enough to fit in the gba and has test points + a common ground.
It's a knock off of the 8bitdo zero made by ipega. It's called the ipega pg-9193.
It even has Button combos for home and zl+zr, so it doesn't even need the extra Buttons/tact switches in the battery compartment!
I bought a few a while back for other projects, but I'm definitely gonna see if I can use one to fit into a gba so that it can work without having to remove any of the stock parts!
Do you have a video on the gba?
Ответитьwhy couldn't you just make gba joycons (just regular but angular)
ОтветитьThis is amazing ❤
ОтветитьHow
ОтветитьDo you sell them? Ill buy
ОтветитьBuy a nes switch controller and take it apart and put it in a game boy shell and use original buttons
ОтветитьYou can use Raspberry Pi Pico board with GP2040-CE firmware to built controller for switch
Ответить🧤🎮 I wouldn't think anyone would do this ever, but you did, bro 🙏👏
ОтветитьThis Is a cool Idea
but I am disgusted It took destroying several controllers, a GB shell, a GBA motherboard and who knows what else
This actually sounds promising, but there REALLY needs to be custom PCB's to mimic the right and left side of the GBA to make things easier instead of almost destroying a GBA motherboard too.
