Very important test. Could you include a column for cell chemistry?
ОтветитьWondeing the degradation in a car with LFP when charged to 80% vs 100%
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьDanke! Great informative video!
ОтветитьMaybe I’m too st00pid to understand the calculation, but I am always getting values for degr/cycles which are off by 1 decimal 😭
Ответитьyour son is suffering from stomach cramps. an osteopath can help you with this.
ОтветитьThe BMW i3 94Ah has 94Ah NMC111 (Also known as NMC333) battery modules rated for 4600 charge/discharge cycles to 80% capacity made by Samsung SDI.
Assuming that you go 200km on an average cycle, which you easily do if you don't do lots of highway driving, that would mean it is rated for 920 000 km until 80% capacity, and is likely why degradation is so low.
I believe low degradation levels like these will be getting more and more common now as batteries advance over time, will be interesting to see how these hold up in 25 years time from now.
Don't worry about Axel, our second born was very demanding too... It ended in elementary school
ОтветитьWith a BMW I3s, 2019, 45000 KM, still above 120Ah battery capacity . Just an amazing car. Thanks for the test!
ОтветитьWhat about kindergarden? It is healthy for the children AND parents :)
ОтветитьTeslaBjørn! Be aware of when you charge to 100% on the i3 on the home charger and you let the car decide, when it is full, you get about 2-3% more juice on the battery, than if you stop, when it says 100 have been reached.
ОтветитьHej Björn! Vår dotter hade mjölkprotein intolerans. När wifie slutade med mejeriprodukter så slutade min dotter gråta. Kan vara värt att testa!
ОтветитьThanks Bjorn I really appreciate this car!!!
ОтветитьI have a 94ah 09/2016 with 147850km. I can also confirm the data.
At 100tkm I still had 98% according to the aviloo test
I would like to continue driving it until 200tkm and then drive another bev.
I have owned the I3 since 03/2019 and am mega satisfied.
Alles gut!
ОтветитьI think Isobel needs a bigger seat.
ОтветитьI like you, your family and your videos with family. It feels that you are littlebit my friend who dont know my family 😄
ОтветитьBjörn flexing his well known 50% Norweigan, 50% Chinese and 50% German heritage when teching his child at the start. A beautiful sight to behold.
ОтветитьNo degradation tests for the stellantis family of cars? Peugeot, Citroen; Opel, DS, Jeep?
ОтветитьBjorn - appreciate all you do - take care of the family first. ABC - Always Be Caring!
ОтветитьOn the degradation per cycle, I guess the decimal point does not match the "%" unit. Should be 0.68%/cycle.
ОтветитьNo Worries Björn, bring your Kids every Time :D
ОтветитьI wonder if the Mini Cooper SE would be the same since it has the same battery?
ОтветитьThanks for doing these tests of older evs. This is the info people really need.
ОтветитьAlles gut ❤
ОтветитьYou’re a good Dad.
Ответить7 years old BMW better then new VW ID...
ОтветитьAs my friend always saying I buy car only from the company that have high quality standards for materials they use. Looks like BMW is one of them .
ОтветитьLove to see your daughter! She's very well behaved too.
ОтветитьOne child seems easy. With the second one it is two against two, and feels like triple the job. All the best for you and wife!
ОтветитьTry hair dryer for belly gently
ОтветитьHave you tried lavender to help baby sleep
ОтветитьColics are true nightmares not only for the child but for parents as well. We went through this with our son and I'm so glad it's over
ОтветитьAnd then....
ОтветитьWould you recommend buying a good i3 on the used market for small trips, in denmark? They are quite cheap
ОтветитьSamsung SDI prismatic batteries for the win.
6000 cycles to 20% degradation, 30 year pack life. Samsung does not show a pack "degradation by age" chart.
At 6000 cycles to 20% degradation the mileage would be:
1st Gen 110km x 6000 = 660,000 km for the 21.40 kWh pack
2nd Gen 166km x 6000 = 996,000 km for the 33.77 kWh pack
Isabel scores high on the cuteness factor 💕
Ответитьdid this some year ago. need a baby cam hehe
ОтветитьOut 2019 i3 120Ah is down to 96,6% @58.000 km. In theory it will reach 70% @ 500.000 km. It is rapid-charged quite often.
ОтветитьIt might be good to include the chemistry of the battery in the table, in this case it is probably chemistry NMC333 (according to ev database).
ОтветитьI just bought 2017 BMW i3 33kWh+rex. It is my therapy EV. I have lost my mind with Tesla Model Y because four heatpumps have broke. I have lost faith to the car and I need BMW therapy. Tesla is shiiiiit.
ОтветитьThat's pretty good for a small battery, the smaller the battery the more cycles or more deep cycles vs the same amount driven in a car with a larger battery. We have 53k miles (85,000 km) now on our Ioniq 5 and when I checked it at 50k it only has lost 0.9% capacity. BMS was still reporting 100% SOH but it's actually lost about 0.5kwh when charged to 100% then you read the remaining energy. The low loss is likely because we most always charge at home and only to 80%. We only need to charge to 100% or fast charge when going on trips.
ОтветитьThat’s a pretty good number, can you hook with some computer and check again
