Lees actually really good at spotting the difference
ОтветитьHahaha! Fair played, all!
I’ve been on the fence about selling my Helix and going to the QC but this clinched it.
Also, watching the three of you having so much fun is just infectious
This technology is amazing. I'll never buy one though.
Cost not being a factor, I've no use for it. I'm not chasing tone like a lot of others do. I know what I like and dislike and a lot of different products can provide those sounds.
Sure some rigs are inspiring when I first play or hear them but after awhile, they're the same as all the rest. It's the guitar and the music that inspires or drives me, not so much the amp tone. Not saying it's not important to have a good sounding rig. Awful rigs suck. Just saying there are a ton of amps that I'd consider a good sounding rig.
Where can I get one of the 2 in 1 mic clips that you're holding the mic's in when recording from the amp in the back room?
ОтветитьLove this, genuine laughter in disbelief when finding out which is which ha! Do QC sell direct to venues with commercial pricing? I feel like that would be a good way to go too.
ОтветитьTrying to decipher differences in a full band mix would be impossible at this point.

Please hit that like button if you fell for it. Thank you!
Lee really loves his own voice, you can see it on Pete's face.
ОтветитьThe modelling and profiling technology now is so good that you can realistically run one of these units as your entire rig, with all the portability, cost and flexibility advantages that go with it. We live in amazing times.
mystery chodeeee
ОтветитьI got it wrong , even with the answers . 🤣🤣😂
ОтветитьI bought a helix, kemper and now an ax8….. I wish I’d have just gotten the quad cortex, seems like the unit I want
ОтветитьThe biggest advantage to something like the Quad cortex is... in one moment it can sound so close to a real fender deluxe that you can hardly or not tell the difference at all... then it can turn around and sound like a bogner with the same closeness.. Thats what sets it apart
ОтветитьChop wood with an axe or a chainsaw ....up to the player, artist or engineer .
ОтветитьThe victory was slightly louder but otherwise they are very similar.
ОтветитьIt might be interesting to present a comparison playing with a real band and see which cut trough plus felt and sounded better in that context - if at all.
ОтветитьNa im not having it the real amp sounds way more creamy....dsp has that hifi clarity....
ОтветитьWe need a full video on Rabea's diet programme. Amazing work dude.
ОтветитьAll things being equal I'll buy the cheapest one
ОтветитьWonderful....who needs tubes eh 😜
ОтветитьYup. The real one is a tiny bit brighter, but it's so incredibly minor that they're arguably the same. Gotta love tech!
ОтветитьIt’s no badge of honor to be unable to discern the differences.
ОтветитьWhat do you think will change or the possibilities will be with Neural DSP's next product?
ОтветитьSo here is my problem with the capture thing. If I had the real amp and could afford it, why would I capture it lmao. I would already have the damn thing.
ОтветитьI own a helix and found that it sounded great on the fender but was lacking on the other 2 I actually found the QC more muddy than the kemper. I'm 100% sure that if you would have tweaked all 3 for the setup that you could have fixed the differences and it would have been much harder to tell. I'm assuming you were using the stock tone junkie sounds which were matched to his personal setups rather than to each other to make them sound alike. I think the latest helix 3.x updates would bring these even closer.
ОтветитьDigital has come a long way since my Zoom 505
ОтветитьHow does it compare to High Gain amps?
ОтветитьWill I be able to capture my line 6 spider?
ОтветитьYou should try to tone capture Beas afro
ОтветитьPete, without a doubt, is a great guitarist, but he never passes blind tests. on the other hand Rob and Rabea have that sensitivity much more developed.
ОтветитьNone of this matters really. Valve amp, solid state amp, kemper, neural, slightly more compression, slightly less, the reverb, joe public wouldn't be able to tell any difference anyhow. Just find a sound you want for your song and record! None of the nuances matter a toss to joe public!
Ответитьclipping...
ОтветитьVictory wins hands down
ОтветитьI heard the difference, but it’s so small. The amp has a slightly rounder attack on the notes. Easier to tell watching, rather than playing.
ОтветитьWell spotted by rabbea the real amp is a little more lively in sound or as lee said has a touch more presence to it.
ОтветитьGreat product, great video 😂
ОтветитьAll this video tells me is that even the professionals can't tell the difference between a modeling unit and a real amp nowadays. The tech has gotten so good that it's minuscule the difference in sound quality and feel. On top of that, even what sounded "artificial," and compressed was the actual tube amp. Great video 👌
ОтветитьPlease do Tonex.
ОтветитьI've currently got a VG-99, Kemper, Fuchs TDS 50w combo, S-Gear 3, Neural DSP Tone King Imperial Mk2, BIAS Amp, Bias FX2 - but I tell ya, my GAS is liking this new toy.
ОтветитьWhat a great video dudes !!! I had to 😂😂 together on the results. Cheers
ОтветитьSo funny here to hear the sound hahahaha lol
Ответитьi think the quad cortex is hint brighter, but ever so slightly. In reality that doesn't matter. ( I kinda prefer that )
Ответитьone thing i know.. everyone us here hears "digital" hahaha! the only way to tell the diff between real and digital is through live.. but seeing them like this.. i mean.. i want one! :D
ОтветитьEven though Pete was wrong, he was constistencially wrong, so he obviously hears a difference.
ОтветитьHow is copying the sound of an amp not stealing "intellectual property"?
ОтветитьIs Rabea involved in the production of the Neural DSP? It sounds great
ОтветитьRabea is just Andy James with a curly wig....!!!!!!
ОтветитьI'm Sold, I've been holding off from digital for 8 years because I didn't really like it and I knew they'd perfect it sometime soonish,I'm now satisfied!
I'm 100% getting one of these and dropping my amp collection down to my favourite one for when I fancy a value amp for gigging or just noodling.
Great video 👌🤟
