I feel Guilty whenever I eat even when eat salad (excepting when I eat after hard exercise or when eating once a day ) actually I cry after whenever I eat I can't stop myself

Honest question. For those with food insecurity, low income, or are digging themselves out of a financial mess.....how do they deal with the guilt of spending money on food? In society, there's this huge stigma of buying groceries when you're low income or financially strapped....like we're expected to get by on just rice and beans and cheap ramen noodles, and that we don't really deserve stuff like cookies or a doughnut. Yet, if someone goes to a food pantry, they may be given expired food (this happened to me recently), not given enough to make a decently balanced meal (although something is better than nothing), leaving that person or their family still hungry. Yet, those people are told to "pull yourself up by your bootstraps," "stop relying on handouts," "get a better paying job," "stop being lazy," "stop having kids," "keep your legs closed," etc. What are your thoughts?

I wouldn't even eat a bit of cake on my birthday last month, i finally treated myself to that slice of cake this week, and still feel like i should have resisted. I feel like such a pig even though it was just one slice

I just ate wendys hambuger fries and nuggets. I feel horrible and ashamed. I know how much work its going to take to burn that off. Why am I so weak at times and other times strong?

Hi can you make a video on how to eat, I have not been eating healthy food and I want to stop but my mind saids “don’t eat the food it looks weird” and I eat specific food and it’s all junk food, I have been doing this my whole life and I don’t know how to stop.

Thank you for making this video! I recently have been on a diet restricting weight loss journey for about a month and a half now and every time I ate something that I enjoyed that werent considered under the category of health foods like pizza, cookies, cake and stuff like that I would feel so guilty and ashamed afterwards, especially in social settings because it caused me to gain three pounds more because of food deprivation and binging so these tips were very helpful to hear. I will definetly try to dump the dieting mentality and focus more on mindful eating.

thank you very much for this. the first scenario is literally the one I'm in right now! also I fine mindful eating really hard with work. we get a break when the manager tells us too, and obviously we have to eat it all within the half hour since that's all we'll have within 8 hours. and before that I eat a lot before work so I'm not hungry. but mostly it's the takeouts that affect me. I still live with my parents and the fact they get it so often is hard on me to say no. otherwise I cook my own dinner yk? I'm not fat, I know that. I lost a lot of weight and am happy with that but I did it in an unhealthy way. I got obsessed with my fitness pal (quit that a few months now) and lost weight very quickly. I'm still not happy with my body, and I still get food guilt. this video helped me realise I'm not the only one going through it. thank you.

I get food guilt when I've had three treats in a week because 80 20 should be 2 meals in a week. How do you know when it's too much?

I'm literally a 13 year old that has taken interest in many diets because my family has a history of diabeties and cancer and In the EXACT time, I grew up with sweet especially chocolate addiction. Before, I did a 500 calorie deficit, not eating anything with added sugars and exercising 1 hour. After the 3rd week of doing it, I suddenly knew that wasn't really healthy and dangerous so I stopped. After that, I planned on a Keto diet even if I know it's bad for a kid like me, I didn't continue it because I felt nauseated. i instead planned a healthy diet: lots of fruits, veggies, and right amount of meat without any added sugar but still eating less. But it started that day, I felt guilt even if I didnt do anything wrong. I get a treat every 2 months because my Mom is really worried about me. Not gonna lie, I lost 5 kilograms in only 3 weeks and looked more slim. So now, my body is not slim and also not fat. But also, I started puking the graham balls or keto cookies that I've made after chewing on it. Still continue to recovering this really deadly mindset because it may lead to anorexia. It literally makes me crazy that I have no one to talk properly to because my friend doesn't understand a single thing about what I feel. Still, this video helped me a bit, even though it's a bit, it can help me having hope to eat normally and enjoying food again coz I'm tired. ❤

i ate an extra piece of chicken and i looked in the mirror and i look soooo fat, like i cant even explain, and now im feeling so nauseous cause i feel so ugly. i just wish i could eat without feeling bad for eating, ITS BASIC HUMAN NEED

thank you for your helpful tips about how to stop food guilt. When I was deep in my food addiction and eating disorder I just felt guilty about eating in general. And I felt ESPECIALLY guilty when I gave in to my binges. So grateful to be free from all of that now.

barely any Appetite. For 4 days now. Not feeling hungry at all even if I do eat I rarely finish my meal and if if I do eat I don't enjoy it

During quarantine I started to struggle with food issues (i got to the point of crying in the bathroom after eating "unhealthy" meals) and thanks to your channel i found a way to stop them before they became a much more serius problem. i can rationalize everything but i absolutely hate seeing the scale go up because that's my progress and i just ruined in in 5 days :( it's sometimesso strong to the point where i lose the motivation to work out which makes me feel even worse

I’ve been starving myself for 2 days and about an hour ago I had a mc Donald’s that had been left in my room since yesterday that had been avoided bc I was so scared of it, and I got that hungry that I just downed the whole thing and I haven’t stop having breakdowns since, I feel so guilty and feel like I’ve already put on so much weight, I feel disgusting. My relationship with food and my body recently has become so bad. :/

What if others guilt you as well?
This happens to me a lot, eve though i'm not overweight or living super unhealthy.
My mum just asked me if i ate all the chrisps, meaning the whole bag & well i did lol. She just sighed & she's aware i had anorexia and bulimia so it just sucks more.
What could i do if telling her ends in defensivdness?

I had 4 pieces of pizza today after eating a lot of chocolate this week because of easter and I am feeling soooo much guilt :/ my relationship with food has gone super down hill in the past year. thankful for this video and id really like more ways to deal with food guilt

I allow myself to eat chocolate everydays (one or two pieces) and I never binge on it (and I also maintain my weight) so I completely agree with you. Really good video !!

Coucou je viens de découvrir ta chaîne :) je ne savais pas que tu étais française ??comment as tu réussi pour atteindre ce niveau fluent English 🥺Pour ma situation :je suis en surpoids et à chaque fois que je me gave de sucreries etc je me sens coupable car je sais que je ne fais qu’empirer la situation.. je sais que c’est mal mais ça ne m’empêche pas de manger et c’est après avoir tout manger que je me dis « eh voila encore une parole non tenue.. » car je souhaiterai perdre du poids

So glad I found your channel! I used to make mental notes to myself if I ate a bit too much and didn’t feel great so I could prevent it next time and had to remind myself that we are a lifelong work in progress. I have struggled with restrictive behaviours when I was younger and it’s taken me over a decade to fix my food issues.

Thank you for such a great informative video. I totally agree with you. Also read that when we stress our body release a hormone called cortisol which cis the main cause of having stubborn fats around the stomach area. Unfortunately, It’s not easy with all the food shaming new culture to not to feel guilty when you eat something that’s not healthy. But we should just enjoy the moment and carry on our life as long as it’s not a daily habit. I try to pay lots of attention of the food that I’ve in daily basis and I don’t mind any treats that I’ve every now and then and just enjoy it. Thanks again 🙏
