I'd much rather have the third game in the firaxis reboot series be a remake of apocalypse rather than terror from the deep. Interdimensional aliens are far more scary than gillmen and squids.
ОтветитьA new Xcom game could have us take command of the aliens set when Xcom fell and the commander taken and the elder has task a chosen or like the frist xcom game a brain to use the commander knowledge to lead pods of aliens to stomp out any resistance and hunt down xcom survivors at the same time keeping a peace meter so the humans don't revolt.
ОтветитьUh oh. Terror from the Deep was my least favorite of all XCOM games. 😞
Ответитьchimera squad is ok and ejoyable game
ОтветитьI imagine the 3rd game will be taking the war to the enemy. Taking over their world/worlds rather than earths regions and with the help of the chimera squad alien allies.
ОтветитьI still haven’t finished WotC so I am slow
ОтветитьJust in case anyone from Firaxis reads this fuck Midnight crap nobody fucking asked for that steaming pile of garbage. I got an Iron man game from ps2 with 10 times more playability than that piece of utter shit.
ОтветитьI hope they shift the tones now that the aliens are kicked out and earth now has the upper hand. Maybe a total war, gloves off sort of thing with larger squads and more high profile weaponry
Ответить"Firaxis", not "fire axis".
ОтветитьJust play phoenix point. XCOM 2 was ridiculously easy. It took all the fun out of it I hate how they dumbed it down its just flat out boring. And lacking enemy types big time.
ОтветитьMidnight sun SUCK so bad, some of the XCOM developers quit Firaxis.
I am giving up on xcom3 at Firaxis.
I want a revamp with less cartoony graphics and more atmospheric alien horror
ОтветитьI want an xcom 3 but absolutely do not want chimera squad in xcom 3 PERIOD
ОтветитьI just hope it's more like XCOM 2 characters rather then XCOM chimera squad . But it would be nice to have some aliens you can recruit
ОтветитьDo we know whether or not they work on an Xcom3 at all?
Maybe it´s all just wishful thinking and Fireaxis is developing zero on the Xcom series?
honestly i would be ok if they couldnt come up with an xcom 3, i guess theyre going to try but i dont know if they should, one phrase that stuck with me from the devs is "where do we go from here?" and its true, they would have to be some imaginative creative mfers to one up xcom 2, with war of the chosen that game is a fking masterpiece, how do you improve on that? if they push it for the sake of pushing it and fail ill be super dissapointed, but with the time its been since xcom 2 im hopeful, when they release a game every other year its bad, so taking their time and not forcing something like this is a good sign, like i said im hopeful, firaxis is incredible to date, so i hope they accept the limits if theres no good future for an xcom 3
ОтветитьI'm a bit worried for the future of xcom.
I loved the vanilla xcom2 + the alien hunters, but WOTC was in my opinion a huge mis-step.
"A new direction"
Sounds like Legends.
The next xcom needs alot of customisation options xcom 2 was severely lacking.
ОтветитьMan I can't stop thinking about how good it would've been if they didn't make midnight sun's and just made xcom instead.
Ответитьmidnight suns is a failed game already
ОтветитьThe problem with modern Xcom is that it's starting to lose the feel of OG Xcom and what made it fun, the interrogations weren't present in Xcom 2 and it feels a lot more barebones compared to previous Xcom Games. It was more appealing to the Cod audience now.
ОтветитьAfter Chimera Squad, I don't really have any interest in XCOM anymore.
ОтветитьAll I wanna know is if we’ll be going underwater like terror from the deep. Let the new generation see the true terror of the lobster men
ОтветитьX-Com Apocalypse seems like the logical next step for the series to take, in terms of mechanics. Managing a mega city and dealing with the internal politics.
ОтветитьI know it's asking for a lot but I really hope they look into the free aim system from Phoenix point and expand on that. That concept has great potential ranging from targeting specific body parts to disable or incapacitate someone to some real big brain plays like shooting a billboard's pillars to bring it down and hit the enemy.
ОтветитьWell chimera squad was 2020. It was a side project but still, games take a shitton of resources to make. There's also the staff departure that occured a while ago.
Midnight sun's recently got its release date pulled back which is a red flag since moves like that usually indicates financial issues, staff issues or pressure from their bosses/investors. It's release date is 2nd December 2022 on which coincidentally, some other high profile games like callisto protocol are releasing which, to me seems like they have some of the same investors and they're asking for the game to be released at a certain before a certain financial day.
Before Chimera Squad, I was also expecting XCom 3 to be a reimagining of Terror From the Deep. But after Chimera, I think they might be going in a new direction. Chimera showed that aliens are integrating into earth society. So I'm wonder if XCom 3 will be about earth going to the planets conquered by the Ethereals and liberating them. With each planet you liberate, you gain access to more and more alien squad mates.
ОтветитьThey should make an X-Com where humans are the invaders, colonizing alien planets. with more emphasis on ufo FIGHT. Enemy unknown satellite systems were way cooler than radio relay stations.
ОтветитьWell, shit.
ОтветитьLOL I wish I can start XCOM 2...
ОтветитьAll I know is it will have a shitty launcher that decides mods shouldn't work after a 40 hour playthrough :/
ОтветитьWell, we did got Phoenix Point. A so called Xcom 3.
A total graphical downgrade from even the Xcom 2012. But not just graphical. The options are...rather limited. What we got there is Xcom 1/2 of reebot, downgraded graphics, no game over counter (yey), and bare bones of the system that we seen War of the Chosen had build up nicely. True they did quasi Fallout VATS in the game through focused aiming mechanic but that is pretty much it. Over all not worthy to be called spiritual successor of Xcom. Just WTH Julian Gollop was thinking when he chose Unity as engine...i dont know. But the story is i must say way more intriguing than Xcom one.
Phoenix Point in my opinion is wonderfully planed and horribly executed.
While I'd also rather have an Xcom 3 sooner, I say let Firaxis take the Disney tour and make a big chonk of well-earned cash. I can wait. Appreciate the update vid :)
ОтветитьI hope that the next game will have a lot of elements that mods are adding. My PC strains to play XCOM 2 with mods and have been playing on my Switch. Would be awesome to play with the variety of mods but on the Switch.
ОтветитьReally wish they revamped xcom apocalypse
ОтветитьAt least Xenonauts 2 is almost out. Well, hopefully.
ОтветитьVideo: what we know about xcom2
Me: sees 4min timestamp (I guess not much)
I want to know what and if any is the supposed threat that the elders were preparing for.
ОтветитьI actually like TFTD more than the original XCOM (1994)
ОтветитьI'll just drop the ball here, an interesting mod for Phoenix Point is going to be playable this year. Phoenix Rising : Better Classes and Terror from the Void. Better classes is already out v1.0 but later this month v2.0 should be released along with TFTV open beta.
ОтветитьPlayed all xcom games beat them all phoenix point is just not playable cause dropped hardpoints from 6 to 2
Game going be expensive when comes out
Lets gooo commander
Ответить"If you get more major news, watch this channel" Haven't subscribed faster ngl, any xcom fix is with a sub.
ОтветитьIs anyone else having problem when loads of "lost" show up in xcom 2 on ps5?
ОтветитьWould be nice to goto their World.
Ответить나오는 거야?
Ответитьi just dont want any more suicide oponents.....they are....bad...mkay
ОтветитьI hope not. Terror from the Deep was one of the less successful titles in the franchise. Or maybe I just didn't like it.
