I’m joining a host of commenters in offering kudos to your outstanding presentation……….and I’ve subscribed!
ОтветитьIs there a reason you exceeded the 1 third rule on the heel cut of the birds mouth? Generally you leave 2 thirds of stock minimum? Is there a reason why you wouldn't do so on a particular project?
ОтветитьJosh,
I bought one of these squares after having seen your video, thank you so much!
It has so many uses, every time i look at this square it gives me new ideas on projects.
Of course, being in New Zealand, mine is metric, however it was made by Empire in the US.
Great tool that I just love to use.
I use it to space deck boards when building decks.
ОтветитьVery informative, thank you!
ОтветитьWhen using the speed square as a guide when cutting try putting it on the side closer to you.
ОтветитьAwesome visual of the seatcut and bird mouth - so easy to understand
ОтветитьSo, what is that product hanger hole for on the thumbnail? Seems pretty useless for anything else to me. One thing this squre has not is to mark the wall stud beginning, center and trailing edge, measure 2 square widths anthen mark the left edge of the following stud. I think this would replace one use or make this a 6 common uses video. Beats having to waste time lulling out the tape measure to lay the following stud.
ОтветитьLoving these guides, I really appreciate everything you've put into this - very helpful. Thank you 🙏🙏👍
Ответитьalright. three incredible videos. I'm subscribing now. speed square blows me away...
ОтветитьAmazing dude 🎉
ОтветитьThank you very much.
ОтветитьGod bless u sir
Ответитьthank yuo,very god
ОтветитьCode says you cannot cut more than 1/3 of the way through the rafter
ОтветитьWhat if you find your speed square is slightly off? Is there anything you can do to adjust?
ОтветитьThank you a million fold!!
ОтветитьGreat video for beginners.
ОтветитьFree mentorship programs! I am truly amazed. I hope you are still doing this!
ОтветитьWhere did the 1/3 rule go? Is the birdmouth cut depth, in every roof the same, when you use the 8-12 pitch? Or is it only here the case, while you use only, the small presentation pieces?
ОтветитьWow! Thank you so much. Just purchased my first speed square. I’m new to wood working, an my first projects were putting LED’s on pre_made cornhole boards with epoxy. Now I’m ready to step it up a custom set. Then a deck in backyard.
ОтветитьI really enjoy your presentation and commentary! Outstanding! Semper Fi

ОтветитьThank you so much for your simplified tutorial... from kenya
ОтветитьThank you greatly!
ОтветитьHello, I enjoy these videos and there very helpful. When you cut the seat cut of the birds mouth( for the width of your top plate) it looks like there is less than 2/3 of your hight above plate left. Am I wrong to think the hap should be no less than 2/3 ?
Ответить7" is small now? Fml
ОтветитьI really enjoyed your videos , they are very clear and easy to follow. Could you do one on valley rafters?
ОтветитьI’m confused on rafter example. You had the birds mouth cut looking like it was 60+% of board. I was under impression only a 1/3 deep is best for integrity.
ОтветитьThank you for the information, like
ОтветитьGood job...
ОтветитьThank you, you are an excellent teacher/coach!
