In such situations isn't it better to switch off all controls and try to at least glide the plane?

Luckily, the 737max is very safe now. Boeing fixed MCAS, and it can’t malfunction like that.

Basically Boeing made an MCAS system but didn’t want to tel, airlines about it as it would require training. The selling point of the 737 max was that no training was required. This then meant that Boeing was at fault for not only this crash but another one too. It was also estimated that 17 more crashes would’ve happened if the plane wasn’t grounded. Long story short, it was Boeing’s fault.

Fact about it the reason the nose pointed up is because on the 737 max the engines were placed slightly above the wings because the new engines were too big compared to what he normal 737-800

Boeing planes had a lot of issues before. I've worked with Hawaiian Airlines and we are slowly phasing these planes out and change it to a smaller airbus like A321 neo.

AI did this. It was a system on the aircraft that malfunctioned called the mcas. It was used to keep the plane on a stable accent and descent because the engines were to powerful for the plane. But it malfunctioned and got the altitude and pitch wrong and started to wobble the plane up and down. It eventually completely stopped working and nosed the plane all the way down with no possible recovery.
