I'm reading that they want to use James Dean's AI person in a movie now. Surely he wants to rest in peace.

Richard Davelos, who played Dean's brother in "East of Eden", told me so many decades ago, "... I learned more about acting just watching Jimmy's movements and facial expressions than I could have in an acting class".

I got his book by Taschen. So many years ago. Maybe from 2007 or something. He is really an exciting individual to delve onto. Truly ahead of his time.

I Recently read a book. Called Wide Spread Panic. It’s about Hollywood Private Investor Fred Otash in the book. He Befriends James Dean. And James Dean would go on Stakeouts with Otash and Dean Also would carry information. Regarding other Stars personal lives and Otash would steak out their place to get juicy details lol.

So much philosophy and talk but nothing practical, if we leave aside the concepts and words of others no one really knows what kind of man he was but people like rumours, they find reality monotonous and boring, in fact James Dean never even existed, he's just a well-marketed image that make money

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.

Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.

Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

ECCLESIASTES 9:4-12 King James Version 😊

The 50's were a weird time. It's sad that Dean lost his mom when he was so young and, although it's never said, obviously his dad wasn't in the picture. But this film makes it sound like growing up on a farm and befriending your nephew was somehow sinister.....

An enigma in his own time, a lost reckless child who had so much more than others. I lived during these times and Dean was the beginning of unrest in America. His family inherited most of what he was and is today!

American Teen ~ A New Culture ~ His Own ~ His Own Fashion ~ His Own.Voice ~ Became America's Own ~ Indiana WWII → West → Hollywood → Jimmy became Hollywood Every 'teen's idol ~ Teen was a new culture ~ before just called young people ~ James Dean Was Teen Culture ~ Restless ~ Refuting ~ Not like farmboy culture pre WWII ~
James Dean gave sense of self as a new segment of a reachable age group ~ defiant ~ cokes & burgers ~ motorcycle riders ~ dates ~ drive in movies ~ tight jeans ~ short bomber jackets in red ~ no more suits ~ expressed their opinions as young adult ~ not silent like just a 'younger person' ~
