You two played the hell outta that!! Nailed it! The only worthless gripe I have is that there was some gain missing. Definitely do not mean to detract what so ever; seems like it just needed more gain to avoid sounding like REM when there on their periods.

This just proves that it doesn’t matter how much money you spend, if you aren’t the artist you’re better off not even trying to sound like someone else. To me they didn’t sound like tool. Something is wrong about the guitar tone.

Pneuma... definetly not achieved...as a guitarrist and fan of adam jones, the tone and type of distortion is not achieved. Your should use a Diezel headamp for start

I am enjoying this duo. They are both amazing musicians obviously but music nerds as well. The bass player is pretty amazing. From what I have seen from other videos she can play any style which is not easy. And the guitarist is better than Rebea who is amazing as well.

You don't even have to spend a ton of money on gear. I have an Epiphone SG, fender frontman 10g, and a boss DS1 and it sounds just like Adams tone for like 600 bucks!!!

The DD-500 is obviously completely unnecessary, but I guess that's why he jokes about it. I understand you're breaking the bank but when the artist you're emulating uses the basics, you can use the basics too. The UA flanger is garbage from what I've seen and heard, and it's digital. Adam uses the Boss BF-2 because it's analog. He also uses the BF-3 digital boss flanger on some clean parts, but for his main, almost always on subtle flange sound under his distorted tone, it has to be the BF-2 because it sounds completely different when distortion is added. I've A/B compared the BF-2 and BF-3 on my rig personally and the BF-3 just sounds worse and more distorted when using it with gain, and the BF-2 is nice and creamy without any added distortion. Although the BF-2 that I have makes a constant subtle whooshing noise that sounds exactly like the tide coming in and out on a beach. Not the worst thing because it's pretty quiet but it's there and the BF-3 doesn't do that.

Drop d tuning is just barely okay I love the growl but I'd much rather play songs in standard tuning. It's just too limited.
I've been a session guitarist for 60 years drop D sucks.

I love the band tool and Papa Roach and so on but for me it just is too limited I mean this guy's playing on three strings all the time it's not very impressive

then they always land on the D sucks
