Lead acid jumper batteries is easily replaceable..

I love my lithium jumper box but it also has an air compressor and they always stopped working

Wish i saw this video a year ago 😂 I bought one of the lead acid battery one. It was late at Costco, i was tired and hungry.

What about thermal runaway?

I have the second level Topvision for light trucks that runs a little over $100 and you can also use it to run an air compressor to fill your tires off of it. I did all four on my Dak and hardly discharged it. I keep it around because I don't drive the truck as much anymore. Pops it over every time.

A long time ago, I used to always keep a jump starter in my car and another one in my house.
And also a portable electric tire inflater.
But all these things always let me down when I needed them the most.
So now I just carry an AAA card and rely on them when I need a jump or deal with a flat tire.

Good video. I reckon that I'll be faced with a flat battery either in my garage or at night in an airport car-park. So I bought a lithium starter, being careful not to buy one sized to start a rig when it only needs to be able to start a car.

The problem with that first jump box you showed, if you leave it in your car in winter it will freeze and be no good

I always do a Scotty Kilmer impression when I tell people out of gas about what not to do that will ruin their fuel pump "The pump doesn't know what to do!" Then I change back into myself, essentially bringing no new information to the situation in the first place--and if I did, people rarely listen when I warn them to not turn the key on an empty tank or they'll fry their fuel pump (I've replaced two, so am overly sensitive to anything near a quarter tank).

NOCO BOOST. Around a$100 for their GB 40 1000 amp model. Its a lil beast.. Can jump v8s a bunch of times.

I have been following you for years. I thought you said you were retired which I was disappointed but we get old and have to quit. Then I see you again said 13 days ago video. So are you retired or not? I learn about car from you. And I am looking for a car battery jumper for 2016 Honda HRV. I replaced 2 new battery this year and another new batter died today after 2 months. So I need a portable jumper that works.

Electronic jump starters work for a short time and go bad

A few years ago, I bought the very cheapest one I could find (on "sale", too). Have never needed it for my car but have started up 3 strangers stranded in parking lots. Worked well.

I have one of those lead acid jump starters from Harbor freight. It has a jump start feature and an air compressor which makes it a good deal for me.

1000 amp is no longer good anymore Scotty.
It's outdated.

The good and the best one today is 4000 amp.
for 10 L gasoline or 6L diesel ICE.

Tell us about using a chinese replacement electric window control switch no drivers side are those parts safe, aren't these same as they sell to napa for sale under their generic name?

PRESS OPEN THE CLAMP AND TURN YOUR FACE AWAY AND BY FEEL MAKE YOUR CONNECTION, JUST IN CASE YOU LEAVE THE SWITCH ON AND YOU GET A SPARK WHICH CAN GET AN EXPLOSION. YOU'LL BE OKAY. i use those lead acid jump starters for up to ten years then just put in a new battery you just have to keep them charged every month. those lithium batteries are all made in China and are a timebomb waiting to go off they lie about every specification they write on those things.

How many amps would you recommend for a lithium ion jumpstart for a 2014 diesel Jetta 2.0 4cyl?

if what this guy is saying is true...why not have these little jump starter batteries as the main battery in all cars? think about it
