I had Beauty! A big Afgan dog. Loved it!

My mom had the Beauty dog as a child and she says she took it everywhere and adored it. She has wanted an afgan hound her entire life because of it! She also swears there was another dog in that line with an identical bed but in yellow (or maybe blue) but I can't find anything online.

I had so many of these when I was growing up, haha.

Ahh I had Prancer and Prince (and personal favourite Day-to-night Barbie) when I was little. My best friend had Dallas and the horse float and car set that matched him. Many hours of fun with those.

Hi! Keiko the Whale was a real whale. He was the whale who played the titular whale "Willie" in Free Willie. That is why he had a name, and the seal and dolphin didn't. If I remember correctly, that's why percentage of the sales went to Save the Whales, because there was controversy over Keiko remaining in captivity and this was supposed to go toward his release

back in 2009 there was an "I love puppy" fashion fever doll that came with a dog too!

I had the first pet doctor Barbie from 1996. I had the black version and I remember when my friends and I would play Barbie dolls everyone wanted to be that doll because she had the prettiest long light brown hair. Before this we had only seen black dolls with black hair. Still one of my favorite dolls from my childhood.

Oh my god, I had Ocean Friends Ken and his dolphin as a kid! Actually, I’m pretty sure I also had Kira, (but not the seal? I think my parents got them for me secondhand) but my brother ripped their heads off one day and my parents were only able to get Ken’s head back on, as Kira’s neck had broken…

Except Ken’s head never QUITE stayed on most of the time, so I gave up on trying to keep it in place and just officially called him Headless Ken, and he was the leader of the other headless barbie dolls (courtesy of my brother), or sometimes I’d play out weird love triangles between Barbie, Headless Ken, and Ken’s Head lol (Eventually when I wanted her to have a non-decapitated love interest, I took one of my brother’s bionicles to be her robot boyfriend)

Hmm. Headless Ken/The Headless Kens would be a great band name…

However, the dog you called "Jamie" (1970-71) was not the dog's name, but the doll's name. The doll was using the current twist-n-turn Barbie head mold (1967), but it was a new character with centered brown eyes, exclusively for the sears catalog retailer.
It was "new and wonderful walking Jamie". The dog that came with Jamie didn't have a name. It was just included as Jamie's dog.
No matter, this was a great review of the history of Barbie dolls pet's. Great idea!

I got Fluff mainly to match my Fashion Jeans Barbie. She's featured on Fluff's box. She is cheaper and way cuter than the matching Ken.

To me you look like a cat guy. You would take a cat, very bourgeoisie taste trashcan cat you don't even want, and you would end up feeding her with a golden spoon. Taking 10000 pics of her a day, buying treats, toys and cute accessories, and if anyone hurt her, even if only feelings, they would end up in a shallow grave in the woods. Her name would be Barbra and you could greet her with happy "Hi Barbie!" everyday

As a kid I had barbie walking beauty and barbie pet doctor from 1996.

Another one not mentioned is Barbie society hound from 2001. A collectible doll with a 1920’s inspired outfit and greyhound in a matching coat!

I had the stamping horse, the pet shop and the vet. I remember I asked for the Black vet doll because none of my Barbies looked like my friend. I was SO disappointed when she was the exact same barbie mold just brown. Years later a kid I was babysitting had a black barbie with a curly fro and black facial features and Iegit cried.
