Aydelott Travel Award Presentation: Fall 2021

As a recipient of the Aydelott Award, I traveled to four significant architectural sites around the US to research indigenous buildings and the relationship between the land and the people. The four sites I visited are Monks Mound in Illinois, Pueblo Bonito in New Mexico, Wupatki Pueblo in Arizona, and the Athabascan home in Alaska.

Thank you to all of the indigenous communities and cultures that continue to teach us how to be environmental stewards and how to reflect that dynamic relationship as designers as well.
