Beautifully rendered version of a really haunting song. Congrats!
ОтветитьBeautiful song! Thank you. Your voice here sounds like Susanne Vega.
ОтветитьThis song brings me to tears everytime I listen to it. Just posting again to tickle the algorithm.
I had it on an ipod playlist, and my kids love it. Wish it was on Spotify, BUT your other songs there are also lovely. 🙂
Wow what a gorgeous cover. This is one those songs that spirits you away to another realm. Pure talent.
ОтветитьGreat cover. Your voice is killer! 💚🎸
ОтветитьThank you ❤❤
ОтветитьSimply brilliant! 🙏🏻
ОтветитьI just watched the documentary last night. They were really good. She could really sing, the lead vocalist. The guitarist was also awesome. This song seemed really great and ahead of it's time. I would love to see someone now take another stab at it. This cover is also excellent!!
ОтветитьI though it was taylor swift
ОтветитьSo poignant..weeping.
ОтветитьGod I wish I could have been alive to see Halyx
ОтветитьYou have a very lovely voice, it is very soothing! Hope you get better known, although it is a tough world out there in the music business.
ОтветитьNot me softly crying listening to this incredible cover because I know how the story ended for Halyx. Beautiful, great job.
ОтветитьWhere are the lyrics?
ОтветитьWhen you see a potential goal
and a potential solution.
But you're alone.
People as why you bother.
One may see what you see.
To them you don't have to explain.
You don't have to argue.
The burden of everything is lifted.
You toil alone for so long, and it's painful, but you're numb.
Someone caresses you, and you feel like that weight is lifted.
You realize in that moment just how heavy life is.
You carry it willingly.
You can't even justify the effort you put in, when no one gives your struggle value.
You speak a language only you understand, because no one can relate.
Until another can, you're alone.
Idk if this helped my depression or not but God damnit I love it!!
ОтветитьBeautiful rendition 🥲
ОтветитьHypnotize, you said it yourself.
ОтветитьPlease tell me there's a way to download this song
ОтветитьThis is a hauntingly beautiful cover.
Ответитьtears of joy, this is just amazing
ОтветитьThis is two years late but I wanted to let you know that we know the song writer now! The original demo was written by Brock Walsh, and he later released the song on the album "Dateline:Tokyo" in 1983 under a different title - "After The Lights Go On." Same lyrics, same melody, everything. Even the same voice - it's identical to the demo tape we see in the documentary.
ОтветитьThanks, Lexi, for working with Defunctland and recording this version of Lora's song. What an amazing tribute to both the depth of the original lyrics and the legacy Lora and Halyx left behind.
ОтветитьIncredible! Could not have expected such a great version of this song existed. Thanks for making it and being a part of it all.
ОтветитьIt’s as if she predicted this to happen…she probably knew this was just all a dream…
RIP Rockstar.
Pretty, pretty please put this on Apple Music!!
ОтветитьI'm glad that lors lived out her life after the end of halyx. I thought that when they said that she skipped town that she was going to commit suicide. She was in denial that halyx was over and was holding on to the hope of a phone call everyone knew wasn't going to happen.
ОтветитьI don't know what legalities would be involved; but, if you could put this up on your Spotify I would consider it a real kindness.
ОтветитьI’m guessing that the reason this isn’t on streaming is due to licensing issues, with the original writer not being known?
ОтветитьThis has been stuck in my head ever since I listened to the documentary. Although what this reminds me of more than anything else is a World War I song. Not tune wise just--I dunno. It has that deep melancholy to me.
ОтветитьI want this to be played at my funeral.
No joke.⚰️
God you have a stunning voice. Ugh I wish this was on spotify!
ОтветитьSpotify please omgggg
ОтветитьTherefore this is a cover by Lexi Snow? Sounds freakin’ great! Amazing job girl. Seriously this track is unbelievable. Please create more music in this style. Perfect for your voice. If you build it, they will come.
ОтветитьRIP Lora. I would have loved to see Halyx in person. It is totally my jam.
ОтветитьI adore this so much! Is it possible to hear this track on Spotify?
ОтветитьWow you are so talented, this is amazing. I can't believe you're not a top artist, because to me you sound better than most that are.
ОтветитьI would so pay and buy your cover of this song oh my god it’s so good
ОтветитьI’m obsessed with this cover!! It’s so beautiful. Really hope it can get on Spotify soon<3
ОтветитьVery profound lyrics, especially after watching the doco. 😢
ОтветитьAmazing cover. Brings tears to my eyes knowing what happened to Halyx and that Lora is gone
ОтветитьI woke up out of dead sleep on the couch at 4am to this song blaring after Defunctland auto played. I immediately became obsessed
ОтветитьSUCH an AMAZING rendition -- maybe best ever. DEEP, life-changing energy. Totally thought it was the original at first but eclipses the original by unspeakable leaps and bounds. HALYX and Goddess Lexi Snow FOREVER! Appreciation and ALOHA, The Rainbow Unicorn
ОтветитьBeyond amazing.
Thank you, this is sure to permeate the Heavens on high.
This slays.
ОтветитьCan I remix your cover of this? Absolutely amazing work on this, seriously breathtaking 😍
ОтветитьHalyx would have been so awesome to see on the Galactic Starcruiser! They could have been added to the Star Wars lore too!
Ответить
