Why I chose the SERIES S over the Series X in 2023

Im a pc player and Ive got the game pass for my pc. So i chose the switch as my console.

I have 3 series s consoles in my house. My 2 teenage sons and myself. We are all able to run 120fps and it was affordable enough for me to buy 3 consoles.

Bro, I've been scratching my head on which console to get. I don't have the best, I'm a Dad of 3 and I love Xbox, so I'm going Series S carbon. Thanks for the advice✊🇿🇦

I bought the series S carbon yesterday. Played some Halo CE and 3 on it so far. It loads so freaking fast compared to my old one s. So much faster. I wish the series X wasn't so expensive because it would of went nicely with my 65 inch 4k tv but how well. The series S is fantastic. If you are coming from last gen console, you will be blown away. Load times are instant.

About to buy the series S. Could u recommend a tv that i can use for xbox s and normal tv programme viewing 40-50 ". Thanks👍

I even bout the Xbox Series S 500GB on FB used - like new in the original box for $180 - no taxes obviously. This is $350 saving for a new X Series after taxes. As a married adult the price factor is big for me. I am not a rich kid who gets a $500 console for his birthday. I am so happy I paid for it cash and done with it. No credit card bills to pay later.

Maybe he likes both but hates both 😂

I already own an X Box Series X and would like to buy another X Box Series S and wonder if I can connect the two consoles together and transfer the games from the Series X to the Series S and play there.

As always I can rely on you to help me make my mind up when it comes to getting a new console. have the series s but looking for something new and i cant decide between an X or ps5... then lo and behold i find out about the series S carbon.

I hate how big the ps5 is...I have my series x standing vertically with the green rgb stand & it looks so dope, but im trying to figure out where i want to put my ps5 b/c its so huge...I definitely want to change the plates also

I'll never understand why anyone would possibly want a 4 teraflop Series S console over a 12 teraflop Series X console. For an extra $200 for the Xbox Series X, you'll be experiencing 4K next-gen console gaming. If you buy an Xbox Series S for $300, at 4 teraflops, is $75 per teraflop. If you buy an Xbox Series X at $500, at 12 teraflops, is $41.6 per teraflop. You're getting a better deal with the Series X than the Series S. If you own an expensive 4K TV, which is probably 99% of people here, then I think an extra $200 for the Series X with Native 4K gaming is 100% worth it. I don't understand what Microsoft is doing, by trying to sell people a last-gen console with an SSD attached. On top of that, you don't even get a disk drive. There should have been a $400 Series X, without a disk drive, and the current $500 Xbox Series X, the same way Sony did it with the PS5. There is nothing Next-Gen about the Series S, other than faster loading times with the new M.2 SDD drive. In every single side-by-side review, comparing these 2 consoles, the Xbox Series X is vastly superior in both 4K image quality and running well at 60fps. Except for Starfield, that is unfortunately locked to only 30fps. I know Starfield could have been optimized to play at 60fps on the Series X, but I truly believe the performance was held back by the Series S, and it really sucks. For the love of god, save up an extra $200 and get the Xbox Series X over the Series S. It's a night and day better experience.

As frequent traveler for work. I chose the S over the X. So easy to throw into my backpack and I’m not using top of the line quality tvs at most hotels I stay at.

since april 75% of xbox console sales have been the series s no wonder xbox is going all digital in the future since the series s is only digital.

I have a ps5 , wanted an X I’m a bit of a performance snob but the price and Starfield have kind of pulled me over the morning to get the carbon series S

Picked one up yesterday for the same reason but I traded my series x in and got 400$ in store credit and pretty much got it for free.
