How did you get to connect the SIN output of the VCO to the VCF CUT? With the ADSR output already connected to CUT, it won't let me add the LFO SIN out as well.

Sweet. Do you know how to assighn whatever notes you want to the typing keyboard. it would be cool if the whole thing , (numbers and even Fkeys )was rows of alternating diatonic and pentatonic scales all in the same key with no keys that do not sound.

Can you make a video on the generative patch you made here on VCV. There's a lot going on.

I'm seeing so many people talking about modular set ups lately. I've played with VCV a bit, but haven't really taken the plunge into really doing anything with beyond just going "ok I can connect a couple things together and make a simple thing, yup that was fun..."
It is fun though. Especially since I got introduced to synthesis by using a vintage Buchla. Lots of running cables around and then taking a photo or two plus writing it all down to make sure you could do it again later.

Hi - Steve from MindMeld here. Great tutorial for those starting out!. One thing I noticed at the end though - you connected the reverb outputs to 2 separate MixMaster tracks panned left and right. There's no need for that - every track on MixMaster is stereo. So you can just cable the reverb outputs to the L & R inputs on a single track of the mixer (and leave the panning centred). You get exactly the same result but only use up one track on the mixer rather than two.

Very enlightening, Chris. I initially resisted modular synthesis due to the excessive costs of the hardware. But now, with virtual modular, this seems very doable. I have been following the hardware modular technologies since way back in the PAIA days in junior high school, even designing my own synth. This video now sparks an enthusiastic wave of interest in me. I will have to go back and rewatch your other VCV videos. As always, great job!

Thanks Chris, this was a great start down this lovely rabbit hole! Really appreciate the use of the stock units for those of us just getting started. I'd love to see this evolve into an actual soup to nuts training course, even a paid one. Your teaching style and obvious enthusiasm for the subject is truly contagious and motivating!
