Wish we had these back in my day on the farm. In the 1960's life was VERY different! Working your fields in this machine is like driving around town in a Cadillac :)

That trailer is SUPPOSE to have a braking system on it just for this reason.

No doubt, anti-lock braking systems (ABS) are here to stay; piggy backed on the ABS system, is the Automatic Traction Control (ATC) owing to the fact ATC uses the same components as the ABS to detect wheel spin and wheel lock up. All except the most novice of drivers are not going to maintain a full wheel lock up when a collision is imminent. Many studies have illustrated that a driver will do threshold braking--apply to brakes to just before the point of lock-up--re-assess the situation, and often steer around the obstacle, and then re-apply the brakes. ABS brakes, on the other hand, require re-training of the driver to use these correctly; unfortunately, most never receive that training or experiment with the response and reaction of ABS systems - either on this farm unit or their personal vehicles. This omission potentially undermines the advantages of this technology.
