Hot Wheels Z-Whiz - Three Blind Mice Paint it Green - Redline Restomod

Three Blind Mice – Paint it Green Invitational – Hot Wheels Z-Whiz. The Z-Whiz is a casting designed by Larry Wood and is based on the Datsun Z cars that were very prevalent in my youth. I’ll never forget the first time I rode in a Datsun 240Z and the different feel it had to other cars I was more familiar with at the time. While in its original year of release, 1977, it had Redline wheels, this particular casting is a later issue with blackwall wheels…but I’m going to change that lol.

This casting was in VERY rough shape. I’ve painted it with Duplicolor Metalcast base coat, followed by Krylon Stained Glass paint in Summer Green, followed by a Minwax Polycrylic clear gloss coat.
