The massive takeout from videos like this is, don't go to Japan at all, if it needs an instruction manual, just forget it.
ОтветитьI have a deadly allergy to fish and shellfish, so I've been terrified to travel to Japan or China. I've been told I'll be eating in 7-11 or the hotels. 😢 And epi-pens are not allowed for some odd reason.
ОтветитьADHD isn't allowed in Japan lol
Ответить"Japan is not really a tipping culture"
Practically no country is a tipping culture, except the USA.
when he said the summer one (about the increased heat) i was genuinely confused, because 37 is higher than we usually get in Australia
ОтветитьDo we just gonna ignore that giant pink thing at the beginning or what?
ОтветитьBeing from middle ga in the us we have a very similar climate to japan so i love hearing people say the heat is too much in the summer😂
ОтветитьMore reasons to never set foot in Japan.
ОтветитьI lived in Japan for 7 years, loved every second of it. Best way to learn is just immerse yourself in their culture. I was raised with respect in Texas so fitting in their culture was easy for me, and probably will be for you. Mind your business and your manners and that goes a long way.
ОтветитьMy husband works at Mazda in Alabama and most of the executives don't speak English, but my husband speaks Japanese (not fluently, but well) and knows the customs. I love the way they look at life and how much respect and kindness they show to those who are the same.
Although he works in Alabama, I live in S. Padre Island, Tx and the amount of illegal migrants is absolutely destroying our country. We would love to move to Japan.
My adhd meds are illegal in Japan then I guess, so how am I supposed to handle that 🥲
Ответитьおらは「JAPAN」とかいうヘンテコな国さ 行ってみてえだよう。
あっ おらは日本人だたー
Much appreciated !
ОтветитьI heard if a Japanese woman takes a giant crap on your plate that it is rude to decline eating it as it is disrespectful to their prophet, Scatman John.
ОтветитьGot 4 weeks planned on February 18th to March 18. Doing 1 week in tokyo, 1 week in Osaka, 5 day in Hiroshiman, 4 Days in Kyto, and 4 days in Nagoya. Anyone got any tips on places to check out?
ОтветитьHey hey! Thank you so much for this video. Im going to Japan next year! I already have family members that already went to japan but i wanted to learn more before actually flying there. Thanks!
ОтветитьGREAT primer on dos & don'ts in Japan. Many thanks for posting this video.
joeinbuenosaires 😉
that a dick
ОтветитьFackin eh, it might as well be a different world. I can’t even imagine walking around with a whole ass paycheck in my pocket.
ОтветитьMy wife is Japanese from Osaka….known for comedy….she always answered either “no” or “maybe” the entire time while dating. “Maybe” always meant “yes” she was just being cute…..she even accepted engagement by saying “maybe” to my proposal. Drove me crazy but also probably helped me fall in love with her. We have been together since 2012 and this is still her way.
ОтветитьJapan, very unwelcoming, all they want is your money, behind the surly smile is a fucking foreigner attitude.
ОтветитьBiggest rule of japan if your a foreigner, Japan hates you and only cares about money your spending, you stay in thw tourism area with the fake smiles and tourism services and once you run out of money, leave.
ОтветитьNever , ever pick your nose .
ОтветитьCash is King in Germany too .
ОтветитьTwo taboos in Japan are royal family and atomic bomb(Hiroshima and Nagasaki). You never joke with these two topics, even with your close friends.
ОтветитьI wish I had this video when I went. ( a long time ago). Got yelled at right away cause we tried to open the taxi door. Yes the poor person ran down the street cause we left a tip. We even had a message at the hotel desk that the guy ran down the block to give us. Wasn't expecting a message from anyone. U did miss 1 thing. Tattoos. Ok funny story. On the subway we sat down. The next stop hundreds of people got on but no one would sit on the bench even tho there's tons of room. I quickly understood so we got up. I encouraged a older lady to sit. I noticed she was very curious bout my tattoos. So I showed her. Ya she was very scared an we got off at the next stop. Tokyo Disneyland almost didn't let me in cause of them. A supervisor had to come approve me before going in.
ОтветитьTah moo u interrupt way too much:(((
ОтветитьHe is correct about the passport requirement for foreigners I've been stopped by Japanese police a few times mostly to check if my passport is valid and then I'm on my way. It was like that in Russia also when i visited a few years back
ОтветитьI'm worried my allergy could be a problem i'm allergic to mint I might need a pen how bad. I was told I might have to call places ahead. And I might not be able to do a lot of street food.
ОтветитьNice job. All true.
ОтветитьThere is nothing in Japan like America. Respect and courteousness are key. Be patient, be quiet and be nice.
ОтветитьI was visiting family in Italy and would tip the bar and my brother saw and was like dude do not do that! 😅
ОтветитьThe taxi fare is cheap in Japan compared to Perth Western Australia.....
ОтветитьTell us more about japanese holidays!
ОтветитьThanks and definitely very helpful. Agree with the times not to travel, but I would also include the new years holidays as well. I was enjoying the JR Pass very much and went all the way to Kyushu the southern most island. On the way back, I got caught in the new years rush and had to stand 5 hours on the way back to Tokyo. Felt lucky that there was standing room! Enjoy!
ОтветитьThey need diversityt. Imagine importing millons of black people. I would grab some pop cornn and watch it unfold.
Ответить"What I wish I had known before going to Japan..."
ОтветитьWe have a lot of unspoken rules too but don't make such a big fuzz about it.
ОтветитьIn fact, Japan now has many electronic payment services such as PayPay, Rakuten Pay, auPay, LINEPay, etc., and they are becoming mainstream, but I feel like many foreigners just do not know of their existence because they are domestic-only services.
ОтветитьInformation about ADHD medications is partially incorrect; Vyvanse (Lisdexamfetamine) can be allowed with proper paperwork. The graphic stated it is 'illegal' and this is incorrect. It does require completing the Stimulants' Raw Materials import request prior to entry and export request prior to leaving if you have any left. Adderall (and any amphetamine, dexamphetamine, dextroamphetamine or amphetamine salts) are flatly banned though - that part is correct.
It is best to check a medication's specific classifications and paperwork requirements months before going - and again on the day of travel in case of changes. Legality of ostensibly similar medications can be wildly different. For ADHD medication it largely boils down to whether its ingredients are classified as a flatly illegal stimulant or a 'stimulant raw material' requiring additional paperwork.
Also, important tip - do not use perfumes, strong colognes or any deodorants/antiperspirants with a strong scent (seriously, leave your Axe at home). It is considered rude in Japan to reek of either sweat or perfume. You may not be even allowed to some restaurants if your perfume is to strong as it would "disturb the flavour". Go for a barely scented or unscented antiperspirant (such as a mineral stick).
ОтветитьI’m Japanese, and agree with most of the tips in this video. I recommend not to visit Japan in summer ‘cause June has so many rainy days and in July and August it’s too hot and wet
As cash money, I or my family bring JPY 10,000 -20,000 or so, and bringing 100,000 seems unusual to me credit cards and IC money are acceptable for most shops
the reason they dont have many trashcans in japan is beacuse of the cult attacks using bags of sarin, many people died, and therefore there isnt many public trash cans.
ОтветитьThe bg music is soo soothing.... Name plz?
ОтветитьDon’t forget to bring a towel! 😂
ОтветитьWtf is that pink thing at the start of the video
Ответить
