Basically their egos were bigger than the pride to represent their country and win something of importance. Rio is full of shite,I get where he's coming from, but what a bunch of nonsense he speaks.
ОтветитьCappello is damn good manager and his stats show his second best on more games played than big man sam.
ОтветитьChelsea ditched Lampard in the end, hence why he went to Man City. It’s a joke that they didn’t let him finish his career there based on everything he did…
ОтветитьEnglands golden generation won in 1966 obviously
ОтветитьGerard and lampard is better than inesta and Xavi yes I said it 😊
ОтветитьThat explains a lot why this team has underachieved so much throughout the years, they take their club rivalry to the national team
ОтветитьThe reality is, the England golden generation was super overrated. The players are just not as good as everyone says they were, which is why they never figured out how to play with each other under multiple managers.
ОтветитьThey failed because they were not golden.
Ответить442 diamond. Defense speaks for itself. Hargreaves starts as pivot. Lampard as the bombing CM and Scholes staying put, Beckham in a free role as a 10. Gerrard rotates with Beckham, Lampard and Rooney. Owen is nailed on in the 9. The onus is on the manager to have the stones to cut his best players when it doesn't suit the system. Look at the lineups for the world cup. Sometimes Saka didn't start, Trent didn't start at all even though the best player in that position (Reece James) was out of contention.
ОтветитьTribalism.
ОтветитьBrazil Spain France were all better than us. We didn’t embarrass our selves. We were just playing against legends
ОтветитьSimple. They were good but were not that good. On Individual level, many of those players had major flaws in their respective game. As good as they were, some were slow, whilst others can't pass to keep possession, and some just can't play d cos the way they used to playing at their respective club. British media was to blame too
ОтветитьMaybe learning how to keep possession and dribble a football would have helped. England had no geniuses like Zidane, Totti, Iniesta, Pirlo.
ОтветитьThey just weren't good enough, why can't anyone admit that? They were completely outplayed by Brazil in 2002 even after they went a man down. Lost twice to Portugal in 2004 and 2006 on penalties. Didn't even qualify for Euro 2008 and were humiliated by Germany in 2010.
ОтветитьThey were overrated period.
ОтветитьStevie G is class.
ОтветитьLampard giving out advice....yawn.
ОтветитьThey take club rivalry to national team that's why they never win anything on international level.
ОтветитьEngland simply were not good enough. Neither then nor now. Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina were always much better. None of these players would make the best players team of their generation.
