That's not true. A lot of times a third-person was called to help the pilot. Air Canada 143 for one.

I rate this video and this pilot at 0/10. First of all, dear Insider, we are fed up with WAHMAN POWAH. Secondly, she lost all credibility when she rated the first scene from Flight at 0 because "the pilot should have simply gone through a checklist from the handbook". As everyone knows, the scene in the movie is based on a real accident of Alaska Airlines flight, and there was (and probably still is) absolutely nothing in the handbook that would tell you how to fly an airplane with a jammed vertical stabilizer (especially when it's jammed nose down). If someone is interested, watch any documentary about the real accident, the pilots went through the checklist, even called the airline and the manufacturer but nobody knew what to do in that situation because that had never happened before. When the stabilizer got jammed in the extreme nose down position, and the plane went to a dive that would last just a minute or two, the pilots, just like Denzel Washington in the movie, instinctively decided to invert the plane, which makes total sense, given that in that case the stabilizer will be also inverted and the plane will stop descending. In the real life that still didn't let them land safely (unlike in the movie), but at least the pilots tried something until the very end and managed to prolong the flight in an effort to find a solution (I supposed unlike this chick, who would just give up once she found nothing in the precious handbook). Yes, the commercial jets are not designed to fly inverted, but the history of aviation knows quite some cases when the pilots could pull smth against all odds and the laws of physics, just thinking critically and using the intuition and knowledge of the plane.

Another thing, calling the attendant into the cockpit. According to her, that is completely unnecessary and unrealistic. But again, if you and her both watched the entire movie, you'd understand that the attendant was called because the second pilot couldn't reach a handle because of the g-force. Total embarrassment, Insider, at least watch the movie yourself before using the clips from it. 0/10.

How can someone who doesn't understand a 0 - 10 scale pilot a massive plane with hundreds of people on board? It was genuinely frustrating. Please emphasize the use of a 0 - 10 scale next time.

This pilot Zoya Agarwal is trying SO hard to mask her Indian accent. It’s taxing. Girl be yourself, Americans will understand

I'll give this girl a zero. Follow the check list in case of emergency? So long, go drive a bus. Facepalm.

She looks like an actor playing a pilot then an actual pilot

The sad thing is, that “blind landing” that got -100 in realism points, has actually happened in real life. The pilot covered the windows instead of his eyes while he was being told to stop the landing. Killed dozens of people. 😭😭 Was a bet, he only got 15 years.

It should be said on the first one that there have been incidents where the situation deteriorated so fast that there was NO TIME to go through the quick reference handbook.

I think she must have rejected offers from Middle Eastern Airlines for sure. Coz whenever opportunity comes they would like to offer experienced pilots job offer along with high pay.
