Is it just me or does the internal mic sound better than the boom mic?

Could you use sonar software with this headset or is it not needed?

I’m trying to figure out what to get for my daughter. I think I’ve narrowed it down between stealth pro,the Maxwell or logitech pro X V2. She games more than anything, but also listens to music on the go. Which one should I choose for her? Gaming would be a little more important than the music. I think durability is one aspect as well. She has broke a Razer Kraken quartz with the cat ears ,then YOWU RGB Cat ear headphones in less than a year and a half. I so glad for the Amazon Asurion warranty programs.

Joe compared to the Arctic 7p’s which one of these would you prefer? Or even the Maxwell

I feel like the Maxwell is probably the overall "better" headphone perhaps even the best (key word headphone) in the gaming space, but I do indeed look for different things out of a gaming headset vs musical headphone. A lot of the audiophile community pleases (keeping it PG) all over themselves with how great and balanced and rich a headphone is, how amazing the driver tech is, etc... but it's like this: I'll enjoy killing them (in games) while they enjoy listening to all the wonderful sounds of games. No doubt when playing a single player game you may want the best overall sound, but I'm just trying to pick up on footsteps and important audio cues.

Do you think stealth pro has better imaging and sound stage than Beyerdynamic MMX300 Gen2?

Can you show us where your settings are at so we can mimic that?

Am I the only one who thinks the internal mics were significantly better than the boom mic?!

Well since PlayStation bought Audeze this is a no brainer for any Xbox buyer.

GUYS THE MAXWELL ARE GREAT FOR FPS. I’m so sick of people saying there not. Imaging is spot on especially with the footsteps eq. Games all have there set audiophile so your not gonna gain any competitive advantage with stealth pros over maxwells. Footsteps might sound maybe 10 percent deeper on impact but that’s it.. you can easily track footsteps with maxwells. They just sound so much better then the stealth pros I feel bad for people who pass up the maxwells for something so stupid

The ANC function changes the sound profile to my ears. Do not know this is an illusion or not. I left the eq on signature and the ANC slider 1.5 above middle. It sounds so much better and immersive than the maxwells in cyberpunk and the witcher 3 on ps5 its incredible. So clean. Probably something really wrong with my hearing 😅

Edit: The maxwells are vastly superior for listening to music though. Like a 1000%

They added chat mix to PC via a firmware update! They also fixed settings not saving upon shutdown, among some other fixes via firmware! It seems to be really solid right now

Hi, I really love your content, and I really loved my TB Stealth Pro until the latest firmware update which I was forced to install because otherwise I couldnt use the APP anymore. Can u please reach out to TB and help us out?.

After the latest Firmware Update the base unit quit powering on when I power on the Xbox. This only happens if the Xbox has been powered off for at least a few hours. Doesn't matter how you power off the Xbox (I.e. Holding the power button in for 10secs, or shutting off via controller) it has to be powered off for at least a few hours and then the base unit doesn't power on with the Xbox. The only work around I have found is to unplug and replug the USB C from back of base unit or restarting the Xbox after waiting several minutes after it powers on.

They are not the same. PlayStation does not allow you to mix chat/game audio levels on headset. Two different headsets for a reason.

When I hold the Button to access "Mode" I can not lower or increase auto for chat only. nothing happens. can you help me on this one? (PlayStation Version)

You mention how easily you could pick up footstep sounds. Do you use Dolby Atmos or just stereo?

how would u compare theese vs stealth 700 gen2 max Im thinking to buy 1 of them just dunno would 150 euro more be worth it when it comes to sound quallity and im thinking using them on pc only for gaming and music, I had hyperx cloud alpha S I loved them for footsteps and bass but mic was so low, i changed them for logitech g pro x and that was total failure no bass footsteps were bad but good mic, so i just hope either of stealth 700 gen 2 max or stealth pro have same or more bass as hyperx cloud alpha S and are they lound as them aswell would appreciate any info

These were my preferred over the Nova Pro because of its immersion in games. But I got the Nova pro for 150 off so it was better to me and I love them. And you helped me make that decision.

Hello! I saw your review and ended up buying these headphones to play on ps5 and I couldn't be happier with them, the sound quality is incredible. I have always used your eq for my headphones but a question arose from watching your video, if I use the tempes 3d audio on ps5 it is not necessary to equalize the headphones or is it? And another question for bluetooth, that is, to listen to music, does the same eq work?Thank you for your work!

I got the stealth pro, it seems like you cannot just "bass boost" the EQ you had before, it's either full EQ or 3 band that you have to pick from 4 stock presets.

One of very few... to fully & properly disclose in video AND description. As a long time YT viewer & consumer, it's greatly appreciated when creators are crystal clear regarding any bias or gain. Just got these for xbox series x, when I power on headset the transmitter doesn't turn on, I have to unplug transmitter and replug and instantly turns on and connects to headset. Is there anything to fix this??

I have the stealth 700 gen 2 max. I got them in rhe sale for £104. Are the pros worth the upgrade at £270?

I 100% agree, give us more knobs, buttons and spiny things! Less gesture , combo buttons. The old school knobs and buttons just give the tough, long lasting feel and ease.

Fun fact: I needed to swap out batteries for the first time yesterday, and to my pleasant surprise, the headset remained on when I took out the battery and switched it out for the fully charged one.

Can I ask what you are adjusting for side tone? Is it mic monitoring? I can't hear myself - and it sounds dead if that makes sense. Coming from nova pro wireless to these.

I just wish the Stealth Pro supported gel cooling pads from Wicked Cushions. The pads on the 700 Gen 2 Max are far superior to these.

Update, I tried the Penrose, stealth pro's and Maxwell. Already sent the Penrose back. Stealth pro is going back tomorrow. Keeping the Maxwell. Stealth pro's are in your face. Maxwell is more laid back, they are easier to deal with in games. JMO. They are still really good, I would just find myself using the Maxwell's, my DT 770 pro's or my Nari ultimate's which are by far the most fun for games.

Between the Maxwell and this headset, I ordered the Maxwell. Biggest difference being the battery life. With everything needing to be charged, its nice to not have to worry about charging the headset for a couple weeks at a time

Thanks for this and also the comparison video ! Was about to buy the Steelseries Nova Pro but didn´t like the mic as it looks like it don´t keep it´s position and misses the flip to mute funktion. Your video brought the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro to my radar and in the end I´ve bought it. And this video helped my enormous to set it up.

Unfortunately poor build quality. Mic failed in 2 week's. After reading comments on Reddit looks like very common issues.

Gentlemen.. If you need wireless, Maxwell.. If you don't... DT 770 pro's all day long. They sound every bit as good as the Maxwell. How do I know? I own both and the stealth pro's. 770's bro's

I'm using this headset and it irritates me that the mic monitoring is on by default and you have to manually shut it off. Why would they do that? Every head set has an issue of some sort.. Why? Do they not fix these issues so that they can sell new head sets? I'm pretty sure that's it. The maxwell has its own issues also. So fn stupid!

So the ps5 version doesn’t get the chat mix dial feature only Xbox??
