Who else is eating Turkish delight while watching this?
ОтветитьI’m eating Turkish delight right now!
ОтветитьEdmund learned from her like Sansa learned from Cersei. Everything she says here is deliberate and with some manipulative purpose. Whereas he's just a kid speaking on impulse, saying whatever comes to mind. Later, in Prince Caspian, Edmund chooses his words carefully to put pressure on the king to get what he wants which is a duel. He was always a snarky kid, but he learned to use it powerfully when before he felt powerless.
ОтветитьOne of the best casting decisions ever was Tilda Swinton as the White Witch. She was perfect for the role.
ОтветитьOh I’m buying it bc of this scene lmao
Ответить💋。📜
Ответитьdont take candy from strangers kids theyll turn you to stone
ОтветитьI forgot the whole story about this movie but this particular scene is the only one thing unforgettable for me
ОтветитьShe’s so seductive in this scene. The way her voice gets softer and more alluring when she says “maybe even king” like her implying that he can be her husband one day. Or that flirty face when she says “I’m gonna miss you.” kinda creepy due to their character’s age differences 😅
I’ve always wondered what would have happened if Edmund actually tried to like lean in and kiss her or something hahah like would she have broken her act and scolded him or would she have kept that fake friendly act and went along with it? 😬
When I was a kid I thought she was kind and warm...Now as an adult I see how manipulative she was.
ОтветитьThis was the first scene I saw of the film in 2008.

This is such a good film. It actually has a lot of symbolism. If you’re a Christian you would probably figure it out.
Ответитьladies and gentlemen, i think i figured out when exactly my brain decided "Hey buddy, we like older women from now on. This shits gonna stick with you permanently now"
ОтветитьDamnn Elsa really let herself go huh 😂
ОтветитьLooking back at this, Tilda truly did an amazing portrayal of the White Witch.
ОтветитьI love the art when she gives him drink and food like that even though
She is crazy now 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

This has such a similar introduction to a villain as pennywise, when a characters so nice in a creepy way that you know somethings up…
ОтветитьMy first time watching this, I sO fell in-love with the White Witch.
It killed me when she turned out to be evil.
TILDA is so excellent !
Men of culture, we all had a crush on Jadis. Don't lie to me.
ОтветитьTilda with the dreads lol
ОтветитьI want to be that boy. I wish someone would feed me with turkish delights and hold me.
ОтветитьThis scene is so interesting because I bet she thinks of “Sons of Adam” and “Daughters of Eve” as how Adam and Eve were presented in scripture: greedy, ambitious and sinful.
She seems them as the ultimate obstacle and mere gluttons wanting to satisfy every one of their urges.
And the crazy thing about it all? She’s right.
Does anyone know what the hot drink was? It looked at bit like hot cocoa
ОтветитьI dont like the white witch she is so horrible for killing Aslan
ОтветитьBavarian donut
ОтветитьAlways thought the red Turkish Delight, as it is in Narnia, would taste like a gooey Swedish Fish covered in powdered sugar. Nope, it’s rose flavored. I’m my opinion, not as good as it looked.
Ответитьits been a long time since ive seen this scene and i agree with everyones praise of jadis but this is the first time ive noticed the details in ginnebrik; that knowing glance to jadis at mention of the siblings, immediately getting on her wavelength with she starts acting nice and him playing the part, his familiartity with her treatment as just looking annoyed with her taking his hat as a napkin and finally the spoils of loyalty but casually digging in to the treats. obviously he feared her but he did seem genuinely loyal to her, maybe that meant he got into aslans country
ОтветитьFor those that don't know much about the white witch and would like to know more, here is a little back story; the white witch, aka Jadis, is an ancient Empress from a different realm/ universe/ world called charn. She is exceedingly powerful and even though she appears to be human she is from a race of beings called jin. Her whole back story is incredibly interesting and is explained in the book The Magician's Nephew, which is technically the first book in the whole narnia series. Highly recommend!
ОтветитьThe moral of the story is he should have asked her for a kebab....
ОтветитьWhat is the song of this scene? I thought it would the "The White Witch" but this one sounds "icy-er".
Ответитьbaby's first tilda
fr tho, she and liam neeson as the lion and james mcavoy as the satyr (who i had a lil crush on as a kid) were the highlights of this movie. some really good iconic scenes too.
Adam never son meet us friend not speak see magic tech and all people with him war play and what entertainment me yes but hear not also did
ОтветитьNO
When you’re tiered but its strangers so you gotta stay in character as a nice person
Yesterday I watched Narina for the first time and after watching this scene, now I want to try Turkish delight 😋😋
ОтветитьI seen this a long ago and i ve craved for this scene that eating scene got me... Its so sweet 🥰
ОтветитьThe way she holds back her frustration with the faun. She didn't have to try hard to conceal her facial expressions in front of young Edmond throughout their dialogue.
ОтветитьThe actor he’s so handsome.
Ответить"No one would sell their family for candy"
Edmund:
White witch: yes little boy come on into my van I have turkish delight
ОтветитьTidakkan locum yg dia makan
ОтветитьI like the sweets
ОтветитьAt least she is more convincing than the book and older versions
ОтветитьI remember watching this movie before, I taught this seen was heartwarming, I loved the Turkish candy and hot chocolate, everything was as I wanted
ОтветитьThe only reason I remember this movie is cus of that sweet thing he ate. I have no recollection of the rest of it.
ОтветитьAs a kid, I always thought she was so beautiful and terrifying at the same time. She commands a powerful presence with her icy white skin, her striking crown and outfit, her otherworldly curls in a blonde color that is deprived of sunlight. It's hard not to want to stare at her when you've never seen anything like her, but you also get the sense that her gaze will freeze you in place. They've managed to make her feel like a mountain that's clouded in eternal winter. There is an insurmountable level of beauty in all of the ice and snow around the landscape, but the harsh weather smothers your bones like death's kiss
