To think, Dave Grayson, Richard Tee, Anthony Jackson, and Steve gadd. What a performance.

ОтветитьIf I’m not mistaken, that is a young Richard Tee at the fender Rhodes.
Ответитьこの曲でアドリブすることの難しさが理解できるでしょうか? ましてやベースでソロを取るなんて☆
ОтветитьDave Grusins piano solo is as good as anything else here too.
ОтветитьThe bass solo is so great. There are so many cool ideas, all of which are articulated well and lead gracefully into the next. Coming up with solos like that on the spot is HARD, and Anthony does it all without ever sounding like he's trying to steal the show. He starts off unassuming, but gradually builds the intensity while 'recalibrating' the audience's ear to the lower dynamic of the bass (you'll notice that the other musicians pay more attention to him than the other soloists, even though he's the quietest). Few musicians have the patience to play like that nowadays, but it's such a wonderful stylistic approach.
ОтветитьWhat the hell is the song? it sounds so good.
ОтветитьWhat planet did Anthony come off of my my my what a bass player his expressions as he takes you on the journey make the journey worth it
ОтветитьIve probably watched this 200 times since it popped up.
ОтветитьHe's loving the genius of Anthony Jackson
ОтветитьThis is way before Anthony started his concept designs of the futuristic 6 string Contra Bass!,…before the 6 string was built!,….Anthony would just turn his 4 string down!,…so all those super low notes you were hearing him play!,…before 1980!,…were all done on a 4 string fender!,…fast forward to 2023!,…well!,… you know how this story ends in terms of the variety of basses available!,….thanks Anthony!,…we love you!
ОтветитьWho turned the flanger up on all the instruments lol… OK I think we may have some VHS audio problems
ОтветитьSuch an Amazing Bass Solo!

ОтветитьDoes anyone know the source of this video? Is/was it ever available commercially?
ОтветитьI love you, maestro Anthony ♥
ОтветитьDon't forget how young he was here, before the contrabass, AJ killing the jazz bass. Nice
Ответитьenfermedaaaaaaaaaaa
ОтветитьAJ is the man!! A superb bass player who at age 17 started recording with Buddy Rich's band.
ОтветитьMy guys actually getting the Gluck Gluck 2000 from under the table.
ОтветитьThis is unbelievable 😳
ОтветитьJesus christ that was amazing
ОтветитьTremendous live performance by all! Jackson is amazing.
Ответитьsounds like a vintage porn score
ОтветитьGadd's cymbal on his right looks like it had a close encounter with a shark.
Ответитьこの動画は初見です。まさかナベサダさん、Anthony Jackson、Steve Gaddの夢のような共演があっとは!ピアノはデイヴ・グルーシンかな…?
This is the first time I've seen this video. I can't believe there was a dreamy collaboration between S.Watanabe, Anthony Jackson and Steve Gadd! And is the piano player Dave Grusin?
Watanabe's reaction is priceless
ОтветитьThat time the bassist stole the show !!
ОтветитьName of the song? Please
ОтветитьIncomparable Bassist! 🔥♥️

Excuse me, My 隠語リセッ臭 😓 from 頭狂🇯🇵邪犯.
ОтветитьGotta love it! The only thing I wish AJ would do... TURN IT UP!
He's so considerate about how he mixes in with the group, and sometimes I just wish he'd lay it out up above the rest of the band for the solos.
What a guy though!
Best porno music I’ve ever heard. Steve gadd seriously haunts me everywhere I go. I came for A.J. on bass and sure enough the best studio drummer of the 70-80’s is here too
ОтветитьAmazing bass solo, amazing vibe and amazing reaction of the other musicians and audience! ..
ОтветитьI remember buying this Sadao Watanabe double LP from HMV- one of four Japanese Imports I bought that day - possible the most money I had spent on anything up to that point in my life. All great musicians but Anthony Jackson killed any doubt that I’d been extravagant.
ОтветитьAnthony Jackson had such a baby face! Incredible bass player. Played with Jean Luc Ponty a number of times too
ОтветитьFreakishly talented! Man, how have I never really checked him out? His playing here transcends the bass -- it's pure, unfiltered musicality.
Ответить楽譜長っ!!
ОтветитьName of the song is M&M Studio.
