ОтветитьGot pickpocketed on a crowded train heading up to the Acropolis. Then bought some water on the track up and contracted gastro.Reported to police and was told Albanians probably did it.Lots 'a young kids playing soccor around you.
ОтветитьThanks for the tips Dave hoping to get to the Philippines end of the year, going to retire start up a business not going crazy taking my time getting the info, I'll message you on FB, all the best from Australia mate 👍
ОтветитьThe only place I've been pickpocketed during all of my travels was in the metro in Paris, France. Rookie mistake keeping cash in pocket! Never had stuff stolen since due to vigilance.
ОтветитьThanks Dave, how's Mexico coming along mate!
ОтветитьThank you Dave for your tips. From now on I will scan right to left. It is always great to learn new helpful tips.
ОтветитьYour voice is so calm , makes all people want to become common sense heroes
ОтветитьVery good advice to leave the bling at home. We are being watched and surveyed without our knowing even followed. Take different routes to and from home daily even in a car. In Italy they have what they call road pirates that claim you hit their side mirror and broke it. They get very pushy and want money to settle the damage now. Women are often in this situation if driving alone. Keep windows locked and stay in vehicle at all times and call the police. They r7n away when you show them your phone and say police
ОтветитьBeware of supermarkets for thieves too. I have travelled the world left my luggage outside United airlines at JFK and went back next day and it was at lost and found to my amazement and joy. Only luggage stolen was at Brisbane airport when I took a long time to get to the carousel. Only once my wallet stolen was in a tiny town in northern Italy at lunchtime when only a handful of customers were in the store. In Italy thieves are on all public transport and they hang around train stations and bus stops. Alway be alert when out of the house whether walking or driving. A photo of driver’s license is on my phone.
ОтветитьWith all the drama of bank accounts being frozen and cryptos wallets forced to hand over details by governments, interested to hear your thoughts into how to protect your wealth. I’ve got bank accounts now in three seperate jurisdictions but I’m not sure that’s enough when push comes to shove as the whole system seems to be linked in many aspects.
ОтветитьI’m guessing that country was South Africa 🇿🇦?
ОтветитьNever traveled, but I would have a dummy hand bag or wallet and keep the good stuff stiched into a hidden pocket on the inside of clothing or strapped to my body only keep ice-cream money and cheap crap in bag, I also would not recommend wearing hand bag strap diagonally, if they go past on a bike you could be pulled over. Let them have the fake stuff and run.
ОтветитьYour words about staying safe abroad have never been more true when it comes to living in the city of Rio (where I am living at the moment) crime is rampant here but not as bad as they say in the media.
ОтветитьGreat video mate one of your best.
