I think I'm going to cut this amazing basalt and Agate right down the center...skips to something else entirely! Arg!
ОтветитьOh Alexis, u really shine❤that petwood made my jaw droo and that jasper... Omg😍😍
Great finds u two. Love them all❤❤👍👋🇫🇮,
The green Jasper, I was unable to contain myself, I blurted out "Wow".
ОтветитьGood for you Alexis.🎉.
ОтветитьOld Disabled House Bound Dusty Rusty Rockhound here: Alexis... you knocked it out of the park today. Good to see you both looking healthy and happy, out enjoying your day! Thank you for taking me along this fun adventure!
ОтветитьTheo, serious question. I know that you can get garnet sands in some rivers, for example the Fraser in Canada. If I understand it correctly, that's due to the hardness of the billions of corundum crystals persisting as they come out of the pegmatite layer as it weathers. Could this happen with the tiny agate/chalcedony nodules you're seeing in the amygdyloidal basalt? I know you wouldn't see the sheer amount that you might see like the garnet sands, but I wonder if you could find some mostly blue sand that sorted itself out in the stream somewhere that had become liberated from the host basalt? If you've got a series of sorting sieves it might be cool to check out without too much effort. I'm sure you've got all the time in the world to do this. Top priority. Congratulations to Alexis on your marriage! And you too of course :)
ОтветитьAlexis rocks! See what I did there?
ОтветитьGood!
ОтветитьI am a fan of the green Jasper, I have a couple I’ve found but my largest would be half that size. The piece of petrified wood that Alexis found in the water is an interesting piece as well that might match it. Another interesting hunt with lots of good finds, though I think Alexis killed it on this hunt.
ОтветитьWhoa, I have not seen a piece of green jasper that size ever. Yeah I’m only been into the rocks for about four years and I have diddly squat for a collection but I have never seen anything that big and that piece of petrified wood holy cannoli.😮😮😮😮😮😮
ОтветитьTheo my eyes just caught the image of a penguin under one of those rocks. Am I seeing that right?.😂😂 but yes, those stones are gorgeous. Oh my gosh, Tad Jasper holy oh God Alexis is Jess killing it today in the river.❤❤❤❤😂😂❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThose were some awesome finds! And Alexis is killing it! She has a good eye, or because she is lower to the ground! Lol! She is awesome! That green jasper is so amazing! I had bought a green jasper from Kate and it was so amazing! Cut it was similar to the one you had but it was A darker pure green! Not the blue/green of yours! But Wow! So amazing! That one was a true winner for the day! So beautiful! And the amygdaloidal basalts with the gorgeous chalcedony is my second favorite, for the day. They truly earned the name galaxy stones, because they look like true little galaxies fill of stars swirling around in the gasses and dust of the salt formation of our universe! Beautiful rocks and so pretty when polished! Hint hint; lol! But all of your finds were really pretty and so different then the ones you find on the Yellowstone! Thanks for letting us tag along on your hunt!❤
ОтветитьTheo, I know how much you love the Yellowstone, but you guys really found some great stuff in the mountains! Would love to see more of that!
ОтветитьLove the rocks u found. Have fun cutting.
ОтветитьBeautiful agates and other rocks.
ОтветитьThe jasper is fantastic!
ОтветитьTheo, Alexis is out doing you!
ОтветитьWow...that greens jasper was epic. I've been hitting the Yellowstone a lot lately, especially near Forsythe, and finding epic colored agates. You've inspired me with these videos and I'm averaging 80+ agates per time going out.
It would be great to meet you...I'm right here in Bozeman.
glad to see you out together, such a great video!
ОтветитьThanks for cutting the green one!
ОтветитьMy trim saw was $130 at Harbor Freight!
ОтветитьWhat in the world does “tingle” mean?
ОтветитьI always wondered why you didn’t ‘hunt’ anywhere else…….
ОтветитьLove all the blues & greens! What a fun (& cool) day!
ОтветитьThat was a fun rock day! I wish I had gotten into rocks when I was much younger. 🫤 A friend of mine is on vacation fly fishing now on a river in Montana. I sent pics of what to look for and to plz grab me one if she sees anything interesting. I would have gone with them just to look for rocks, but my 14 year old little chi-poo gets terrible separation anxiety and sick, now that I’ve been retired for 8 years. So I can’t leave her. Someday I will come to Montana to rock hunt. Cause I want to have a fun rock day like you two had.🥰. Thanks for sharing your fun with us.
ОтветитьIt was close but i think Alexis edged ajead. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic couple. Love your adventures. That jasper - amazing find Alexis. I love looking in the water too. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьNice finds, love your vids. 🙂
ОтветитьCheck out the mineral Celadonite. Its green and shows up in amygdaloidal basalts, sometimes coloring up the agate or prehnite. I think that's what you got - Prehnite plus Celadonite.
ОтветитьHOLY MOLY ALEXIS HAS THE BEST EYESIGHT !!! You have been perfectly trained to hunt those bad boys and man does she find some killers!!! Awesome video as always!!!
ОтветитьWhat happened to the seam agate? you said it was next and mentioned cutting it thru the seam but then went to the red amygdaloidal basalt.
Ответитьdang Alexis got the phatty green jasper and petrified wood and a sick jawbone. she has a great eye.
ОтветитьThat was quite the adventure. Thanks for bringing us along!!
ОтветитьWow….huge wood! Love the blues and green. I’m intrigued by the tiny penguin. Thanks
ОтветитьLove all the beautiful rocks that you found today! But the thing that set my heart singing was the beautiful ammonite with the sutures on the backdrop of all of your rock- showing! I would love having that on display in my home! Thanks for the trip to the mountains today!
ОтветитьSuch beauties. I love the green jasper!
ОтветитьAlexia you nailed it!!!!!! Wow that petrified wood was heart stopping for sure! Love seeing y'all hunt together! Thank you for an amazing video.
Ответить彼女が見付けた石達がすてき過ぎる❤
ОтветитьGreat finds 👌👌
ОтветитьAbsolutely great finds and cuts…buuutt…what happened to the agate seam you were gonna cut down the middle of the seam? You showed it and said how you were going to cut it but didn’t show it cut. Inquiring minds want to know!
ОтветитьAwesome video!!! Love it, I’m just learning in the last couple of months, I wish you could slow down a little while you are showing the Agates because I can’t see the Bands in most of them, they look just like the ones I’m finding…Agates without the bands? So if I’m not wrong what I’m finding so many times is chalcedony? Please help. I’m from NB Canada, East Coast….So many beaches around here, everywhere you look but it seems Nova Scotia lucked out and got all most all of the Agates. Cheers and have fun. thanks so much for Posting 😊
ОтветитьHi Theo. I've been going on Etsy to buy some of your products but I can't find any. Did you stop selling on Etsy?
ОтветитьWhat beautiful rocks you found while you were chilling.🥵🗻🪨♊💎🧊🌄😎👍
Ответитьcan you share gps location. Saturday will be in west yellowstone and montana.

ОтветитьOh my goodness that green what was it?
Ответитьwhat 8is the name of the basalt you found?? you can glue your rocks to a 2x4 wood to cut more slaps
