Man, this is so wholesome and awesome. I’ll be up front - I’ve never been a cat guy. Always been partial to dogs. Have had cats, but not for like over a decade. Long story short, a black 6-8 month old black kitten showed up at our house recently, and just made its way inside as my wife was bringing in groceries. Posted all over to see if she’s missing because she’s totally domesticated and super friendly and loving - even super tolerant to our 9yr old autistic son who can be pretty loud and intense. No one claimed her. She’s been here a little over a month and she’s shown no claws or teeth. Safe to say she’s found her forever home. She imprinted hard on this family almost immediately and we’re so happy to have her. She single handedly turned me more into a cat person. Black cats FTW.

That’s a Bombay cat all the way, my mother had one and they are one in a million. Our cat bonded with mom and constantly had to be by her and was a total shoulder rider.

Love this! Many years ago, my husband brought home a little black kitten that he found while riding his mountain bike. Their love was something special. She lived to be 17, and her grave is in our back yard, right between her adopted brothers.

❗WHY do people just 'grab' animals (especially cats/kittens) seemingly without contemplating they may have home nearby or the mom close by! "I always wanted a black cat" so he took it with him. 🤷🤦

Too often we "help" animals away from their family or home thinking we help! 🤷

But of course sometimes they DO need help but make sure that's the case❗

YEP!!! When they pick you like that!! Will be a never ending bond!!! I had a tuxedo cat. his name was Merlin. He picked me. I was choosing from like 40 kittens. When i picked him up. He gave me a look! A look that said....I am going to push every button you have! And you will still love me!! I had him for 18 years!! He lived up to my expectations! He passed away in my arms 1 1/2 years ago! The morning before he passed. He was laying on the pillow next to me in bed. He used every last bit of energy he had and came over to my pillow. Wrap himself around my head. I was in tears because i knew he wasn't going to last much longer. I knew this was the last time he would ever do this! :(
