When I tried to put an animal to quarantine it wouldn’t work so ill need with that so it could helpful that someone or paws can help that

Something I learned when following this guide to a t (even to the point of using the same starting animals, Nile Monitors, bc getting gold tier males and females is practically what makes them best beginner animals) is that if you intend on adding a breeding pair to your habitat, you need to consider that the size of the habitat can hold their kids alongside the adults. Especially in solitary animals like the Monitors, and take note of their breeding patterns.
Nile monitors breed like goddamn rabbits and that is a warning most of the time, they can have up to TEN babies per breeding and their interbirth period (aka the time the mother recovers before another breeding can be done) is shorter than the time it takes for their babies to grow up. I think it's 2 years? This means that they can and will breed again while their initial babies are STILL babies, especially since they do not become adults until they hit 4 years old. Even the Asian Water Monitors grow up a year earlier and have a higher 'grace period". You will have to potentially contend with double digit baby numbers with them if you're someone like me who doesn't make "juvenile exhibits" to house the excess.. The asian monitors have this problem too but it's less offending since their max is only 8 per breeding and their year shorter time to become adults + interbirth period keeps them from racking up babies.

What I recommend when starting with (any) animal is change the number reqs in the zoopedia so that it can house the maximum number of adults ALONGSIDE any juveniles. Bc of how Nile Monitors breed, you need a habitat suited for not just the adults but also TWENTY babies bc you will likely have that many per 2 breedings or at least somewhere around that. This keeps them from getting low wellfare in the process, bc those babies WILL take up space if you don't plan for them. I made the mistake of having just too small a habitat reqs and the low wellfare wouldn't leave me alone bc the babies put the water reqs in the yellow which is bad.
With animals like Cheetahs for example which are solitary, you only need to account for 3 adults and 5 babies max (I prefer sticking to just the breeding pair personally rather than buy more than I need to unless the social needs require it like lemurs). If you just stick to two adults, and account for the babies, you will not have to worry about getting more cheetahs until the babies grow up in contrast to the nile monitors, meaning that your breeding pair of cheetahs won't make breed until your initial litter of them grow up, so you practically have a much more forgiving grace period between breedings since you likely already released/traded those newly grown cheetahs to the wild or other players.
Animals with smaller exhibit requirements are obviously more forgiving in this regard but it's something to take note of fyi. Once I started extending my habitat sizes I had to stop worrying about this. I don't apply this to some large group animals that need lots of space for a full group (unless you're penhuins ig?) bc I just sell any if I think that's too many in there for the space I set up. But yeah, just a food for thought thing.

You can directly click under animal nature requirements tab (click icon for example Africa) to open automatucally prefiltered main Nature tab for this specific animal.

after working for a few hours i can say the learning curve is steep but you get there! the creators have done a good job of making sure that whatever you decide to do looks really good, whether you meant it to or not 😂 very pleased with the terrain manipulation

I’ve been playing this game on and off for the past couple years but have been frustrated with how I never managed to crack it, but this tutorial has helped IMMENSELY. I feel like I can actually play properly now and I may have become addicted!

I've been watching the newer videos and noticed the minimum habitat requirements now has an option to see how big it needs to be for any amount of animals - at what point was this added to the game? Or does it need to be researched? I've just started playing and it's quite frustrating having to constantly adjust size as the animals are reproducing.

For the filtering and painting terrain just click on the biome and plant type in the animal tab and it will automatically filter it for you. Same for the painting of terrain.

I am still kinda confused about the work zones but you helped me so much with everything else! Since I am Zoo Tycoon veteran I became very overwhelmed by Planet Zoo, loving the game so far tho!

hey, this is amazing. I'm trying to get back into playing and this has made it easier. Tho from the bits ik about the game, if you click on the biomes on the animals profiles it will automatically select them and open the nature section with those as a filter, same with click africa. I hope that can help anyone.

i have a qeustion so if i make a second habitat do i need to buy new staff and staff bliunds or do the staff from the first habitat clean and feed the second habitat ?

Is there any mode or like a mod for this game where i wouldn't have to worry about the money and just make whatever i want and build without worrying about currency?

I used to play Zoo Tycoon 2 back as a child and I really loved it! Is Planet Zoo like the "new" version of it? It looks a lot more complex in their trailer videos, so it intimidates me a bit and so far I didn't buy it... But in this tutorial it looks doable! Very well-made, and I need to come back when I bought the game ☺
