I get a kick out of the banter between these two because they both have a great deal of in-depth knowledge on the subjects they are talking about. Although I disagree with Jay's downplaying the desirability/value of Singer's reimagined Porsches (and I'd never be able to afford one) I do think they honor Porsche in their reimagining of the 911 and I think MOST of what they do is just awesome. I do agree that leather in the engine bay is gilding the lily....

I would absolutely love to drive one of these three cars. I unfortunately will never have that opportunity. If I want a huge lotto and could buy one of these, I would buy the singer, why because it’s the most drivable I don’t wanna just look at a car I want to take it out all the time. And like Jay said that Carrera, the new one is really load of the ground and the old Carrera two would be great because I love that 356 styling, but the singer I think would just feel and look better. Just my opinion.

I agree with Jay and heck I'd pick the Carrera GT over a DLS Singer Turbo (Over $3mUSD value) as well hands down. Its up there with Pagani Zonda, McLaren F1 etc...That howling V10 engine is just wow😍

It's a nice collection of Porsche models. I was introduced to 356 and 911 in Need For Speed Porsche 2000 video game while the Carerra GT in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2002 and Most Wanted 2005 video game.

Carrera GT price are completely off ! 5 years ago you could get a nice one for around 600/700, as of today market has cooled off quite a lote in the last year. A nice once would be 1.2/1.3m selling price not listed.

All aspirational products drop in value, then go up as years later the people who wanted them but couldn't afford them drive the prices up, then, over time, those people get out of the market and the market drops. That is not ALWAYS true, but it is the way things generally go. 1930s cars, in general, are falling in price. 1940s is next, then 50s etc.

My buddy who passed away was ahead of his time.I rode with him to outside Philly to buy a 1957 Carrera Gt speedster.4cam aluminum doors and hood one of 30 built in 1957.Who knew in the 1980s it would be a million dollar car.

A favorite episode of a favorite channel of mine. Absolutely love the cars, hosts and their banter. So insightful & entertaining! I side with Jay on his view of accoutrements vs. performance, but Donalds’s retort that a Singer might be reimagined in denim had me ROTFL 😂. Porsche GT is certainly my ‘it’ car. Carrera 2 uses the Fuhrmann engine which was also used in several Racing Sports Cars from the 550 Spider, 718 RSK Spider. 718 Carrera 2000 Schwiegermutter to the 904 GTS Clubsport Version..

You did make more of the Carrera 2 2000 also in the 60 s, the Standard was 130 PS , the Motorsport Version was 155 PS with a hood made of Plexiglas or glassspar..

Regardless of value, I'd take the Carrera 2 all day just to experience a car that helped make Porsche what it is today.

My older cousin was given a new Porsche 911S by his parents when he graduated from the US Naval Academy. The Porsche salesman told my cousin it was a car designed to be driven hard, so he ran that car to red line in every gear and you could tell that engine loved it. Also, that car had the scratchiest carpet....definitely a car built for performance, not comfort.

This is why I told my wife. It's never bad to buy a Porsche. Even the ones that don't seem specifical will likely at least break you even at some point in the future
