I have a 2016 13“ Base MacBook Pro. Bought the 512GB SSD which was super expensive back then.
Due to production errors of this model, Apple replaced both my battery in 2021 and my display in 22 for free.
I am still happy with this for easy tasks, battery life is decent, but 16 GB of RAM would be nice.
I feel awful to have sold my macbook pro mid 2015 😢 even i have a mid gamign laptop i still wanted that laptop ik it will just get more valuable i got it rlly cheap 400😢 and i won't ever find it again at that price locally
Ответитьit wasn't faulty AMD graphics!!! it was faulty Nvidia Graphics they stopped using Nvidia Graphics were the biggest problems for MacBook Pro's which apple decided to let AMD add their graphics on the MacBook Pro Mid-2015 15" 2.5 GHZ which was the first MacBook Pro to have AMD instead of faulty Nvidia Cards.
ОтветитьMy mom had a 2016 MacBook Pro. She hated that thing because of the keyboard. Apple, even under AppleCare, refused to fix it or replace it. That monstrosity finally bit the dust a week before Christmas. Now she has a M2 15 inch Air that she loves.
ОтветитьEarly 2015 Macbook Pro purchased in 2015 & still going strong in da house
Ответить2016 MacBook Pro without touchbar has the dual core i5 and 16gb ram option. hidden gem since it sips battery and super cheap now for 16gb ram.
ОтветитьUgh. I had that 2011 15". Such bad luck.
ОтветитьStill going strong with my 2015 15 inch Macbook Pro. I literally just replaced the battery 2 weeks ago and it's Thanksgiving of 2023. I carried this around the world with me (literally) for 14 months on a sabbatical where I shot and edited 4k travel vlogs almost daily. I've also ediited loads of 4k Canon Log video files on it for years. I've been telling myself "I'll get one more year out of it" for the last 3 years.
ОтветитьI have the MacBook Pro 17 inch 2011 and its so good for school and it holds and if it dosent hold just upgrade it lol
ОтветитьWhere would the MacBook Pro, late 2013, model A1398 with 15 inch Retina display come in?
ОтветитьGlad, cos the best is my MacBook
ОтветитьWatching this from a 2017 function keys MacBook Pro💀
ОтветитьCame across this 3 yo video and wasn’t expecting that my $2700 fully high end spec’d Mid 2015 MBP 15” i7 is still the #1 of the Mac’s of the last decade…and it’s 2023 now!!! Been rocking it since day 1 & thought to “upgrade” to M1/M2 MBP but for what? No knock on the new chips, but this 2015 MBP 15” workhorse is STILL pulling its weight & doing what it does! (Old) Great vid, 😊 keep it up! 💻
ОтветитьI love my M1 MBP to pieces and I’ve never had an issues with it. I had a few different Touch Bar MacBook pros and they were just not even close in terms of battery life and they would get so hot, plus I would have issues with memory leaks and freezes. Never had that with my M1
ОтветитьU will not find me agree for the 2012 13" as Yes good bla bla bla but mine n am not the only had problems with ram slots that can't do anything about it.
Are 13" 2015/2019 as good as 15"??
Last don't forget the fact that after 2015 they took the heart out from macbooks.
I mean the LIght of Apple Logo and the Digital Optical Out.
I want them back!
PS. Message from 2013" i7 with removed bottom cap from Swollen Batteries :D
flip, i just brought a 2017 macbook pro no touchbar
ОтветитьPlease do something like this for a decade of imacs
ОтветитьMy 2016 15" is still going strong with only 1 screen repair and speakers repair somehow
ОтветитьThe best macbok award of this decade 🎉
Ответитьhe's talking bad about the laptop Im using
ОтветитьThe 2011 is salvageable just disable dedicated graphics. it's easy. Not a "death trap" Mr Drama Qween.
ОтветитьLove the old school apple stuff <3
Ответить2014 MacBook Pro: ...
Ответитьjust bought a mid 15 , 15"MBP i7 with dual graphics. its beside my 12" early 15. both work great
ОтветитьI have a 15" mid-2015 and it is still running perfectly on High Sierra, my favourite OS ever. Meanwhile I also bought an M1, mainly because the 2015 can't keep up with the latest pro- software, but also as a backup since I am a bit paranoid about how long it will actually last after 8 years of intensive use... but I am impressed how well it can compete with the new guy. Honestly, quite often I feel like not really needing it - for daily tasks I still reach out to my trusted 2015 work horse - yes it has quirks, the Bluetooth is terrible, the battery is obviously worn to death, but it is extremely snappy even with a full SSD, the loading time is not long enough to be bothered... it's like 2nd nature for me. I learned from this video that this might be exeptional because of the model. Other Macs died on me too more sooner than later. But this one makes me confident having paid that much.
Ответить13/ Mid 2012 unibody
ОтветитьI wish I watched this video before buying 2018 i9 grill
ОтветитьI love my touchbar. I dont want a mac without it. Most hate it but I love it
ОтветитьI totally agree with you when it comes to the 2 best MacBooks of the 10s. I had both the mid 2015 15 inch and the late 2019 16 inch. Both of them are great examples of what apple can deliver. Thank God I never owned any of the bad ones. But I tried a 2016 12 inch with the butterfly keyboard. That was not a great experience. Thank you for a nice worst and best video Luke.
ОтветитьI have 2012 Mac soon upgrade it to the max.... But I need a cheat 1tb to install
ОтветитьNeed the model number for easier identification
ОтветитьOne way of preventing sudden death of GPU and CPUs in MacBooks is replacing the craptastic paraffin thermal paste that apple over applies and replacing it with Noctua or Arctic in a well done way.
ОтветитьReally amazing content you’re creating brother ❤
ОтветитьCan I use unibody or retina parts from 2012 to my macbook pro 2015? Need insidd keyboard. Damaged something while changing battery
@everyone
Is the 2012 13” “Unibody” MacBook Pro that you are referring to is:
A1278
Thank you.
Hi Luke. You named the 2011 15" MacBook Pro as the worst Mac laptop of the decade, mainly because of its graphics card, but, I'm wondering does this include the 17" model (early-2011) with the AMD Radeon HD 6750M?
Ответитьi have the 17" - 2011 and i love it and i wont part with it
ОтветитьI have 13' 2015 MacBook Air and I really like it. I bought it before moving to the University and i thought that it will never replace my other laptop. But I was wrong.
I think there are 2 reasons for me moving to the Apple PCs:
1) They are obviosly good. I use my MacBook every single day 24/7. I got it with 'janky 2 core 1.6 GHz' processor but the machine is much faster than any windows pc i got earlier for the same (or even more) price.
2) Windows 11. Oh god that thing is bad. I stoped using my previous laptop because it just cant work fast and smooth as MacBook.
Fun fact: my previous laptop also came out during 2015 and its price was nearly equal to macbook's. And maybe it has integrated GPU and faster processor (the same RAM and both are using SSDs) and because of that it can run games but daily tasks like internet surfing, computer graphics and programming... He cant deal with it. BUT 2015 MACBOOK AIR CAN DO IT AT THE SAME TIME! Doing 3d models, their textures and animations, programming stuff and a good amount of tabs in browser? Easy. Do that but adding second FullHd monitor? Ok.
But there is one problem with that MacBook - games. It can run osu in full res and it runs pretty smoothly. But I tried to use my optimisation pack for Minecraft and it looks horrible. The only way to play is cloud gaming. I use GeForce Now and it works perfect - even better than old laptop :|
Some people says:"But the mouse works incorrect in macos". I'll say that cloud services connects your devices like mouse or gamepads directly to the server machine. So there is just no any acceleration and that stuff. (But it dont likes the dual monitor setup so I have to choose before launching the game.)
I prefer the M2 MacBook Pro 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьSomeone show 2019 Luke the M1/M2 Pro MBPs
ОтветитьNow I think the 2021 MBP 14” takes the first spot for the best.
ОтветитьIm honestly pretty good with the macbook pro 2016/ 2017. Got one for cheap and also use a gaming rig but having this for websurfing and semi gaming is not bad at all. Just need to fidle with the machine in manual app fan settings so it dont overheat.
ОтветитьAwesome video!…
Question:
Apple MacBook Pro 13.3" 256GB SSD Intel Core i5 8th Gen. 2.40 GHz 8GB MV962LL/A
Is this a good one ☝🏻 to buy as well?… Thx!
We need another one of these videos!
ОтветитьI use a mid 2012 unibody pro for work, and its held up so well. I’ve never thought to replace it because of it’s age, it’s a great laptop and I’m sure it will last me a few more years.
ОтветитьNice green jacket there. What year did you win the Masters?
ОтветитьI do have a 2017 (function keys) macbook pro and it works fine for my needs. Got it from my brother after he upgraded to the m1
Ответить
