You can just buy lenticular plastic sheets for so much cheaper that have a way higher LPI. This 'product' is an absolute waste of money. It makes me wonder how much money you've actually wasted without doing research first.
ОтветитьIt seems kind of mindless that companies don't just make multiple sizes. Why wouldn't they want to make options?
ОтветитьThis was absolutely genius!!!!
Copying this project!
🏎️🏁 Yeah/Nah 👎🏻 two kits (4 units) for $600 (AUD) WTF‼️
ОтветитьBeing as this was a year ago, what monitors would you purchase today? Thanks for all your wonderful content. I’ve really enjoyed watching your channel grow. You deserve it, mate!
ОтветитьDon't use the double back tape. It can come off your screen okay but it does not come off the plastic of the bezel free kit very easily. And if you rub it with anything the plastic scratches easily. To hold the plastic strip into your screen, I used fishing line from top to bottom. Just one piece of clear small diameter anchored at the top and at the bottom holds the strip down onto your screen.
ОтветитьHow well do these work with curved monitors?
ОтветитьWhat ASUS use in their BEZEL FREE kit is not their invention(based on my findings). As per my understanding they use Fresnel lens, which is a part of any modern monitor. So all you need to do is to get a faulty TN, VA or IPS monitor and disassemble it (quite easy). I got one from DELL TN monitor and one from old IBM TN monitor and both work the same as ASUS lens. Trying to find the best way to mount those to my monitors. BTW Fresnel lens itself is fun to play with.... try it to achieve 3d effect on lighting objects or logos.
ОтветитьWould be great of Asus, having made the 43" screens, to make a bezel kit for them too!!!
ОтветитьWhat country are you from that 3M stuff is considered good? I am from the UK and 3M stuff is notoriously awful here. 3M tape can't even reliably adhere strongly enough to support its own weight for example.
ОтветитьYer they are good value $196 each 👎so basically it would cost you $800 AU for a bezel kit for your screens I just don’t know how they could justify charging so much for a strip of plastic and a few brackets to hold them in place plain robbery
ОтветитьLoving your vids and making my way through all of them. Having a PC built to get into iRacing and will use it with my C1 65. Wondering if you ever used it with a GPU that couldn’t put out 4k and what settings you went with? 4K display, 1440p in game upscaled or 1440p display and letterbox for 1440p in game?
ОтветитьCan't wait for Samsung Zero Bezel TVs!
ОтветитьGot my 65’s and bezel kit on the way. This has been immensely useful. 🙏🏽
ОтветитьHave you had a go at making your own kits? I just made some from an old 39" LED LCD TV, I made them 4cm wide and could be made in one piece for such big screens.
ОтветитьTo be honest ... For me that is the weakest point of your (totaly amazing 🙂) Setup.
ОтветитьLove your content man. Every time I talk to someone unfamiliar with sim racing I show then your set up and it always blows their minds. I’m looking at setting up my own triple monitor set up, similar to yours. I’m looking at LG C1’s but there’s a significant price difference between the 55 and 65. Do you think it’s worth the extra $1500 or so for the 65’s or are 55’s good enough? Cheers!
ОтветитьI'd almost be willing to bet those are similar to the plastic screens on old projection tvs, having said that you should be able to cast them in silicone to make a mold then cast in clean resin to make a copy. Evan and Kaitlyn do something similar with a weird holographic plastic film and the resin captured the surface detail and it worked
ОтветитьWhen I finally start my build this year I will be using your channel to help. This is awesome.
ОтветитьThis is quite easy to DIY. You only need a LCD TV (preferably broken) and take out the prism sheet and cut to length
ОтветитьGreetings. what gpu do you use? I have rtx 3080 msi gamin trio and I play 1440p and I can't go up from 105 fps and the resolution is 10340x1440
ОтветитьThe most real simulator I've seen to date, it seems to be from the factory!
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the seat that I can see in the video preview image???
Ответитьwith 3x tv 55" that ASUS ROG Bezel-Free Kit will work?
ОтветитьI have an idea for people who don't want to risk damaging screens, why not use the ROG clips on a camera stand from the floor. of course you would need to attach the strips together and figure out how to attach the ROG clip on a camera mount. This solution would probably work great on screens bigger than 27" and smaller than 65"
Ответитьwhy not glue the 2 refractors together with epoxy, acrylic glue or even just clear tape, using a flat surface to get the perfect alignment, then a little clear tape to hold It to the screen?
I ask coz I have 3x32" curved G5's and wondered if it was even necessary, I see some manage with 1 set tho, doing a little jerry-rigging.
Tape works until the panel warms up.
ОтветитьThey are just Fresnel Lenses cut to correct size.
ОтветитьI switched to projectors when I used to have a sim rig, the amount of light from all those leds blasting ditectly into your eyes can't be good in the long term.
Ответитьhonestly for triple screen, we actually need some advanced displays which are totally frameless and can be combined with backflips together.
ОтветитьCan't we just use 65 inch TV which cost around 2000 dollars ? which cost half of the price of his monitor. Can someone please explain.
ОтветитьJohn I think I may know what they are i will twll you via a pm if you want to contact me.
ОтветитьYou actually can set a negative bezel in iRacing. Dan Suzuki showed it in a video
ОтветитьIm kind of surprised that there isnt monitors specifically made for sim racing triple screen set ups that are bezel free yet, or super narrow bezels.
ОтветитьWhat pc do you have to be able to move 3 4k screens ????
ОтветитьI find your video very informative.
I'm using triple 65 inch screens for my Boeing 737 cockpit (Flightdeck737.be).
Can these plastic slats be folded at different angles? So not just 120 ° or 130 °.
The left TV is at 123 ° and the right TV at 115 °.
One con is that they are not cheap for 2 slats of plastic ...
Would love that, but VR is so much cheaper
ОтветитьI run triple 4Ks OLEDs, do you use NVIDIA surround 100% of the time?
ОтветитьI wonder if they would work on my 32” screens. Could be tight.
ОтветитьInitially I thought you were sitting in a real manufacturer simulator. It looks so real.
ОтветитьAny tweaks that need to be done in iRacing. My kit is due any day now
Ответитьdid you pay for the rig all yourself or did you get given some of it to help you out? fantastic rig btw :)
ОтветитьHello my friend!! i have a small problem to configure my bezel free kit! the image appears very good until the middle of the screen, at the top it is misaligned! I currently use 38 • angle (142 •), I am using 34 inch screens! do you think that because i don't follow the manufacturer's guidelines to use 130 degrees, am i having problems? I saw that you didn't change your angle, and it worked well! changing the angle of the screens is very hard work! I would like your opinion on that
ОтветитьIs it just me that uses the bezel as braking markers?.... As always Will great vid without the fluff👍🇦🇺
ОтветитьHey will, I was just thinking now that you have an RTX 3090 and HP Reverb G2, maybe you could do a video about rhe best VR Sim titles (ACC, Raceroom, iRacing etc).
ОтветитьCool set up matey ;)
Ответитьawesome rig Will ! Could I ask exactly how long each of the 'prisms' are ? mm, inches, bananas... anything would help, I'm amazed that Asus dont tell us !
Ответитьnice, ...but why is your steering wheel shaft goes to the dashboard. it should pointing under the dashboard. shouldnt it?
ОтветитьThanks for the tips
ОтветитьI really love the bezel free kit. Using it on my own rig and I love how they just add a little bit of extra immersion.
