He should have 100% replaced David Bowie at the start of when they all did do they know it’s Xmas. You can see him at one point when Sting is singing

To my mind, Paul singing Do They Know It’s Christmas’ opening stanza acapella is the equivalent of Carols from Kings whereupon the chorister sings the opening verse of Once In Royal David’s City. Then the subsequent song is the equivalent of the choir and the organ joining in before the congregation join in on the last 3 verses with the descant on the last.

Was only 1 in 1985 but what a beautiful man amazing voice. Love Paul young 😍😍
