in addition to 2nd degree you can use 5b as passing note between 5thp and perfect 4th but Eric never uses these degree as a scale degree ( like in blues scale) just as passing note either when you move up from 4 to 5 (4#) or when descend from 4th to 5 specially if the rhythm needs you to add one more note to land on or off the certain beat
Ответитьthat degree called major second (super tonic) and without the sixth degree it really doesn't take the personality of the pentatonic scale , it is a very good hint I myself was always in wonder how Eric Johnson doing such a smooth runs and I invent lots of sweep style implementation of the pentatonic scale your note was really helpful
ОтветитьDude your playing is the best. Its steady, it's balanced and you just got the tone right. Just a pleasure to watch really 😅
ОтветитьFine, ffs I’ll subscribe
ОтветитьCmon cnt!..
ОтветитьDo you know what pentatonic means? It's five notes. You have six notes there
Ответитьslow it down, buddy
ОтветитьBuddy kearn how to explain like holy rap just add this note okay let me teach you smt just play this chord and youll be great ;)
ОтветитьYou went down a half step, sounds cool
ОтветитьSmall hands = speed
Ответитьcame on . 2023/24 licks paul gilbert😂
ОтветитьEasy!
ОтветитьBro you're fucking shredding
ОтветитьWhat model LP do you have there? 50’s, 60’s?
ОтветитьGary Moore too. He was so so good
ОтветитьThat may be well and cool, but to get your right and left hands as synced up as you have them here takes thousands of hours of practice and repetition. I'm a beginner and I'm prepared to put that work in, but that is my main struggle.
ОтветитьSweet guitar. The double cream goes well with the trans amber.
ОтветитьHow long did it take you to pick every note spot on ??
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьEverything about your playing is just awesome. Thanks for sharing like you do!
ОтветитьYou should slow down to get your point across ....we know you're fast.if people are watching you there trying to get fast..So slow down bruh!
ОтветитьI know how they do it better than anyone, they're more talented
Ответитьhe forgot to tell you about economy picking ...try THAT out haha
ОтветитьI can’t imagine to have had your skills when I was your age. Good feel too. Good playing, dude!
ОтветитьHii.. can you help me out with something ?
ОтветитьCheck out Troy Grady’s Cracking the Code to go more in depth about what this guy is talking about. If you’re a downward pickslanter, this just allows you to change strings on an upstroke so you don’t get stuck in between strings. You can build up CRAZY speed just off of understanding this.
ОтветитьThese people not really telling us the secret of how they learn it.
ОтветитьTroy Grady has a really good explanation of why this works. It has to do with downward pick slanting and how the Eric Johnson style of picking/playing optimizes switching between strings. I noticed I did the same thing with the 9/maj7 in pentatonic phrases as well without even thinking about it. There's so many hidden mechanics behind picking technique that even the best players don't know they're doing until you watch back footage in slow motion.
ОтветитьThrew up in your own mouth there at the start
ОтветитьNah, because then it's not pentatonic. My advice would be to use the pinky finger as sparingly as possible.
ОтветитьThis was a nice tidbit
ОтветитьMaybe try to show it a liiiiittle slower
ОтветитьYou’re making a video to show off ?
Explain the dam thing
If your going to make a video, and we all appreciate that
Do it more slow so the rest of us can grasp it
gonna try it but first how be fast like that😅
ОтветитьThat's called the ghost note.
ОтветитьYOU PLAYED IT TO SLOW CAN U PLEASE SPEED IT UP
ОтветитьAlrighty then.. easy peasy
ОтветитьI can't see wtf he's doing. How bout some tab. Yes u hear you his with the intervals. I'm working on it. I got the five shapes down good.
ОтветитьThat is a great idea. I never thought of it that way and have been playing for years
ОтветитьShowoff
ОтветитьThat note is the 9th
ОтветитьSheesh 👏
ОтветитьWould you talk about your right hand technnic?
ОтветитьOh yea, I got it now. Super easy
ОтветитьGary Moore was so great at that ❤
ОтветитьHow many years could you have been wondering? You look like you are 12 years old
ОтветитьThank you master
ОтветитьI haven't a clue what you are talking about. 😢
