How about that 1600 dollars a month for a one bedroom? Im from middle Ohio it is just hard to make sense of the property valuations in other places. You used to have the low rent part of town and the high side... You live in the low rent side of town til you can afford to get a nicer place. It appears as though the low rent stuff went out the window almost everywhere really and wages don't keep up with the general cost of living. You could easily turn that around and say the cost of living outpace the wages and blame the owners of the land that you are buying from. Economics is complicated, but one thing is for certain, you look at a person like this Bank executive and they have one thing on their mind.. Shareholder value. That can come from anywhere as long as it isn't their own paycheck and that is the giant FU we feel in this country every day.

So this woman's whole idea is to have somebody else. Pay for someone else's expenses and this isn't California. Where things are through the roof thank you, Gavin Newsome.
Or she could find another job. The woman that is in question or maybe a second job we've all been there. I can remember working 3 jobs at 1 time. But I made it raising a soon

The basic living expenses for any given person need to be re-evaluated in this country. The “market basket” from 1940 won’t do!
Besides shelter, food, clothing and medical expenses, there are toiletries, household needs, transportation expenses, other insurance as needed. Please feel free to add others, as I know this is not an all inclusive list.
The reality is that the pay gap between CEOs and line workers has been growing for years!

Maybe she should be fighting high prices and the overspending (of our money) by her colleagues instead of attacking a self-made success. He is paying the amount that the market will bear. That’s how our system works. If she has the skills to earn more she should go do it elsewhere. Are demoncraps really this ignorant?

Congress can't grill billionaires about the pay gap because they are in the top 10% of income earners in America. Congress should earn the average income plus the increase in expected income for the American people. Which for 2024 is $68,000 and not $174,000 which they have been paying themselves SINCE 2009!!!

Pay for work should be based on the merits of the person's work, not on the person's living expenses. Any shortfall in living expenses over pay is the job of the social programs of the government, not the private sector.
