Pretty late, but I like to rewatch and have different perspectives

My theory to why the Dragonborn is allowed in is the same as why a dragon appears in Blackreach; because the dwarves were messing with time and tonal manipulation, maybe they had agreements with the dragons, children of the God of time?

Kagrenzell's sphere or Orby is a mechanism defining if someone can use the sound technique. Why did it let Dovahkiin enter? He can use it, and the evidence is that Dovahkiin can summon dragon in Blackreach by using shout on artificial sun, which was proved to be time-space manipulating mechanism in ESO.

One theory with the whale non bridge is that the whale bone bridge was simply made after when they were making Kagrenzel and they didn’t go back and change it:

Kagrenzel is part of the Solstheim “Ghosts of the Tribunal” quest. You rescue the curate there to retrieve the Mask of Vivek. It’s actually one of my favorite quests in Solstheim. Don’t kill the cultists though, like I did the first time. If you join them, they will remodel their sanctuary, and you will have new merchants to barter with in Solstheim, and new armor to buy, and new weapons, which are unique to the cult of “heretics”. You also won’t be stuck doing endless quests for them like you are in some of Skyrim’s factions. Once you get the Mask of Dagoth Ur in the final quest, you’ll be done with quests for them, and can just visit when you want to barter with them.

The part about shouts does make sense. Remember the dragon flying out of the artificial sun in blackreach once you "shout" at it? The dwarves recognised and used the thu'm it seems.

Tonal manipulation is one of the theories surrounding the building of the pyramids. Mainstream science ignore it. It's hard to believe they expect us to believe those stones were lifted up those inclines by slave labor. I've seen how much a small team of elite athletes struggled to get a couple of tons of ship up a very small and very slight incline. I just don't believe that that's how the pyramids were built.

Who would play as a dwarf if it became an option? I know I would because I used to play as the dwarven character in golden axe and nostalgia says dwarves are good. Would make a change from the dark elves that I usually playvas. I can just imagine my beautiful dwarven lady with a head full of thick hair and an even thicker beard to go with.

Small correction: the local maps are NOT hand-drawn. Rather the engine just takes the outlines of the first objects it can "see" from above and plops them in. This is why it sometimes seems like you should be able to explore a rockfall further, but when you delete the rocks you find it's a dead end. Fallout 4 works the same way.
The reason why it perhaps looks like maps are hand-drawn is because there is a simple plane you can put above the objects in the cell in order to hide them from the minimap. Some mazes, if I recall correctly, feature these to foil any cheating -- the player icon is standing in a void on such a minimap. The reason you can see this far outside the playable section in this particular cell is most likely due to time constraints.

Akatosh is a combination of Auriel and Lorkhan. I believe it's the Lorkhan portion that actually grants the Dragonborn his power. Some even believe that the Dragonborn is a Shezzarine. If the Numidium was stored there and it was supposed to be powered by the heart of LORKHAN, then the security system was possibly programmed to allow someone holding the heart in. Maybe the system detected Lorkhan itself and thought it was the heart so it let you in.

I think Kagrenzel did have a purpose at some point in Skyrim's development but Bethesda cut it for times sake. Like all the best things Bethesda will never explain is this ruin.

There are all those dead bandits surrounding the orb thing, meaning the orb must have killed them. It must've been made to scan for a specific energy signature...the Dragonborn's. That's why it doesn't kill us when we arrive at Kagrenzel. We're the one it was waiting for.

I’ve been playing this since it came out so many years ago, and I just found out that the wind caller quest is literally the first few 😅. So I did find this place on my own exploration, it was pretty cool. Didn’t like getting attacked by that guys project though

I'm starting to belive that the dwemmer angered the gods by trying to create one of their own. The gods might have responded to this by simply removing all dwemmer from existens or moving them to a plane of oblivion where they didn't have acces to the means necessary finish their project.

3 years ago I posted about theory of mine in regards to the whale bones. That got no interactions so I’m restating it because I didn’t see anyone else talking about it.
If there were flying whales, the Dwarves likely used them as beasts of burden. Simply to transport raw materials for building the Numidium. The ruins may have been a key mining site and when the Dwarves disappeared they had nowhere else to go. An accident may have occurred, I imagine a Falmer slave was trying to fly one but since it’s blind it crashed into a wall and caused a cave-in.
Why they didn’t use the whale bone assets idk. My best guess is that they didn’t want it to be obvious for reasons like this video, they want us to theorycraft.

In anniversary edition there's a quest through the companions for this place called family heirloom. It's not "technically" in it, but the quest description says get the heirloom from kagrenzel - however you go through the whole place to get back to the cave to pick up the heirloom in a place that you can't access from entering the cave.

Watching this video again high i realized something. Some people call the orb an AI that can understand you are able to use tonal magic, but in black reach there is the large floating light above the city too and you shout at it a dragon will comes, what if it's a super computer ai that managed their city and when when you shout at it idk maybe it can summon in stuff including defenses? Idk but it's interesting to think about

I don't think this game will ever end...why should it? Creators can keep the lore going and keep the game growing with richer and richer quests. We'll see if economics diminishes or ends the game––that is, the creators cutting corners in the idea, art, quest complexity areas and more. If you study the richness of ES 4: Oblivion and compare it graphically to Skyrim, you can see that corners were cut in Skyrim. There's a richness in many ways to ES 4: Oblivion that is missing from Skyrim. Want to see what I mean? Play the two games side by side, and you'll see. BUT!!! Skyrim is AWESOME!!! The whole team that worked on this have critical eyes, critical senses. They think! They consider carefully. I just hope they continue to do this out of a love of the game and not reduce it to what everyone wants in order to sell more copies. This game could go anywhere, but it can't go everywhere at once. Managed correctly, this game could never end. Microsoft, build far more powerful Xbox's, with lots of speed and storage!

Maybe the snow whale is used to transport the giant robot they’re smaller than an air ship plus they possess the ability to fly
Edit:and also they can dive down or pull their nose up (additional pull + fitting through the hole) unlike an airship which is just a floating ship

3 things that could contribute

1. They studied the snow whales for their tanal manipulation and then tried to copy it

2. They studied the voice and then copied that into their work

3. They have a dragon in blackreach and therefore could have been trying to breed the dragons in order to obtain the voice or dragon blood

I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT SKYRIM SO I'M JUST GUESSING
