Use one or two charcoal briquettes! A lot of easy heat. Easy to carry. 6 of them will last a hike or standard camp.

You can alqays place it between wood or rocks with a tin pan underneath to stop heat robbing and give it more stability.

These stoves are top down fires. Fill it with wood pellets, light it from the top (using some alcohol) and that's the best burn you will get from it. Do not top it up, because it burns from the top down. Light it, let it burn and if you want or need another burn then dump the ashes and fill it again
