Hey Ammar!

Seeing your "dream as a kid" question really hit me. Ever since I was 4, traveling, walking, and cycling have been my biggest dreams. But arthritis threw a wrench in those plans - my hips just aren't what they used to be.

Even though surgery could fix things, it's been a long wait. At 28, I still yearn for those miles and adventures.

While walking freely might not seem like a big deal to everyone, it's everything I've ever wanted. But hey, that doesn't stop me from exploring! I get my travel fix through channels like yours, living through your videos.

Seeing you, Ammar, achieve your childhood dream is seriously inspiring. You go, man! Keep living your best life!

Stay blessed,
Muhammad Umar

I’m Egyptian but born and raised in the US. My dream ever since I was a child was to see the tombs in Luxor. I got to do it for the first time last April and it was such a dream! I went to the valley of the kings and queens. Queen Nefertari’s tomb was the most breathtaking and stunning. I still dream about how amazing it was 💛

My first wish as a kid that I remember was to become a marine biologist (even though I named it back then exploring the sea). We always went on vacation to the sea and I was and still am stunned every time watching the waves break and the tides come and go. Even though I never pursued that dream the sea is still a magical place for me bringing me inner peace while also evoking all kinds of emotions at the same time.

My first dream as a kid was to reach the clouds, I used to sit on a swing and try to jump to them. I’d absolutely love the opportunity to skydive, I’ve never done it before but I think it’s the closest I’ll get to the clouds 😎😌🙌🏻

WOW!! Cried a lot!! Best video so far of Yes theory! I had so much emotions but when I heard "Free child" it hit me right to the heart. I am a war child from Kosovo and since I was little my dream was to be a free child in a free country! We got our independenc in 2008, this year we got our country to travel free visa, but we that experienced war would never be free from trauma. My dream is to fight for education, women rights and free kosovart from that mentallity, heal them through education. You are so inspiring, thank you free child.

What a beautiful video and so heart warming. I was a very shy quiet child, always lost in a day dream. I think because i was a quiet kid I always dreamed of doing something BIG, something that would get people to notice me and something to make an impact on peoples lives. I know its pretty vague but even now i dream of doing something big to help out others ive done multiple long bike events for charity across Europe and held quizzes for charity during lockdown. I still find myself chasing the dream of that something big that inspires and makes an impact on those around me. Thanks for keeping me inspired

My first dream as a kid was to be a footballer. Bare in my mind I’m a girl and I grew up being jealous of my older brother because he got to go to football tournaments on Saturday’s whilst I remember my parents taking me to Ballet instead at 3 years old instead and crying everytime we went. All the while, all my primary years until I was 10, I would be the only girl playing football in the playground. Fast forward to highschool and I lost that part of me for fear of being judged, started to hang out with my girl friends instead.

I’m now 24 and in the last 2 years I decided to go back to my child passions and desires - I signed up to a women’s football league and I’ve been having so much fun - it’s become a part of my personality. I’m so proud that even if it was 14 years late, when objectively I’m too old to learn, I still decided to go for it and have fun getting better - like my inner child wanted to!!

Ammar seeing you through this journey with your dad and the sacrifes I saw you make 7 years ago has been my own little pyramid / limits are only perceptions. you’ve shown that even if people may disagree at first (family, parent) ultimately being your most child like / real self will benefit you in the long run

As a child, my dream was to soar through the sky like the birds. I yearned to break free from the earthly constraints, to defy gravity’s grip, and ascend into the boundless blue expanse.

But dreams, like feathers, are fragile. Reality tethers us to the ground, and our wings remain dormant. For deep within, that childhood dream remains aloft, waiting for the winds of imagination to lift it once more. 🌟🕊️

My first dream as a kid was to travel to the moon. My dad wrote a homemade picture book about him and my brother building a rocket ship out of trash cans and traveling through space. As a child, I was convinced it happened and was true so my dream was to follow my brother’s path and take my own journey into space with my dad and our own rocket ship.

Congrats Ammar on this beautiful accomplishment. So happy you have this moment with your dad and family forever.

My first dream happened on my first trip outside of my home in Cairo to Aswan. Just 5 years old, I took one curious look to the left when entering the plane and experienced a moment that forever changed my life. Since then I knew I wanted to fly a plane over a mountain chain one day……and even though this dream has been forgotten and cast aside by many people, I always seem to find my way back to it. In a way, the freedom of Egypt’s skies I sat below during my childhood have also inspired me to dream. Love you Ammar, and I can’t express my happiness seeing you fulfill this dream!! Forever be remembered as a legend!

Great video as always, and congrats Ammar! We have cried tears of empathy with you and now we are crying tears of joy with you.

My childhood dream was to travel outside of the US, as no one in my family had ever left the country since immigrating 4-5 generations ago. I left the US for the first time as soon as I could afford to go on my own, at 20 years old. By 29, I began traveling full time, which I did for just over two years, and that's when I found Yes Theory. I binge watched so many videos, which all really resonated with my personal values and all left me feeling inspired. (Fun side note: a couple years ago a bunch of you guys were in Ireland over St. Patricks Day and I was there at the same time.) I just returned to Boston less than a month ago, and I'm so grateful that I've gotten to explore this aspect of myself. Watching Ammar's struggles with his Egyptian passport has also made me truly understand the privilege that I have as an American passport holder. But as many countries as I've gotten to visit, I haven't made it to Egypt yet, and seeing the pyramids has been on my short list of bucket list destinations ever since going to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston with my dad as a kid and being obsessed with the Egyptian exhibit. When I got to uni I did all of my drawing by observation assignments in that exhibit as my school was right across the street from the museum.

As I traveled and evolved, I healed a lot of my childhood trauma. My mindfulness practices have expanded, and I've been lucky enough to have the opportunity to learn from people from countries with advanced economies and countries that are considered developing, and to share what I've learned with the people I've met. As people have told me that the resources and practices I've shared have inspired them to make changes in their lives, my dream has shifted. Now, as a 31 year old, I dream of helping as many people as I can to heal from the inside out, which is why I decided to come back to Boston to pursue my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have many ideas about how I will share my unique medicine and expand upon this standard Westernized training, and I'm really excited to pursue this new dream.

Thanks for doing what you do and for bringing us along for the journey!

I cry at every single video and this one was no exception of course. It’s so incredible to see everything come around full circle. I’ve been following Yes Theory for many years now and I live by seeking discomfort in my every day life. The first ever dream I can remember is wanting to see Paris. I decorated my entire room in a France theme. I got to accomplish that dream in 2018 and my dream has now evolved into visiting every country I can. That first trip sparked something in me that has opened my mind up to seeing the whole world no matter what the stereotypes are. I’d take a ticket to anywhere in the world.

Ammar, what a heartwarming video!❤🔥 This video is for sure going to help me even look more at my dreams. I had a hard situation at home and as a kid I always wanted to see my family in one again. Lately, the situation got better and now I can focus more on achieving things in my life. I'm planning to go to Morocco soon (alone for the first time) and travel to "nowhere" with a good friend of mine. Atm I'm working really hard (video editor) and need to say no a lot to my friends because I have deadlines to meet. But I hope this hard work will pay of soon. My plans & dreams are big so hopefully I can achieve what I imagine sooner or later. 💖🔥

Amar, I just want to say your preserveience to your dream is insane, I remember the video how ever many years ago where you where stuck in between the desition of staying in egypt, leaving behind yes theory forever, or contune. You continued and rightfully so, You inspire me and this is the first video in a while that has actually made me physically cry. I remember the first time you spoke about this dream on this Chanel, and Props to you, seeing your dad right next to you is a true experience that I will never forget. But to answer your question, I think the first dream I had ever had as a child was when I had saw Disneyland for the first time, I had wanted to be the one who designs it, And this is still dream I am pursuing, studying in architecture and engineering to hopefully reach this one day!
