I think all of those nitpicks are valid and I even noticed them when I went for a 2 hour test drive. Definitely can imagine the long term annoyance

Cruise control might add 1 km/h to the speed, miles / hour is displayed, so you press it 15 times, the speed is adjusted by 15 km/h, however you see 10 miles/h added to the set speed. Really amateur.

the best car of its type ever made.

i BEG don't drive with full beam on when a car is coming. you have no clue how annoying it is to have an idiot that thinks their beam will adapt and won't blind me, but most of the time i have that beam hitting my eyes for 5 seconds before they actually do their work. and its available for all cars.

Is there any owner of such car? I'd love to consult: can't decide if this car appropriate for the area I live in.

Sorry but the issues that this car seems to have are completely unacceptable for a new car. I have never had this big of a list of issues from a main dealer with any used car, let alone a brand new one.

I love my white 2018 ND soft top. I too have tracked mine around Thruxton. I’m amazed you’ve managed 50mpg but I’m happy that mine has averaged 41mpg over 30k miles.

Auto-dipping headlights needs to be banned as do drivers that use it. Cars using it make walking through my village at night brighter than daylight. It's the height of laziness & entitlement.

We've had two MX5s over the last 10 years. The worst problems we have had with the latest version are the asymmetric cabin, the driver's side must have about 4" more legroom, and a lack of a conventional glove box. Also not being able to access the boot when your battery is dead is a real pain, why can't you just use the key? That said, it's a gorgeous car to drive and has the sweetest manual gearbox on the market.

Very good review. Realistic and factual. I have been looking for a sports car that is comfortable but also not focused on the engine power, I want to be able to go on track with it, but also grocery shopping. But I see its a little small, and has small trunk. Do you have any recommendations for a car thats similar, has great value (I do not need big engine) that is perhaps a coupe or tiny bigger than this?

Doesn’t the cruise control react to longer presses on the button? It seemed to work this way in mazda 3 but I might be mistaken since I only took it on a 40 min test drive.

STILL don't like the white. But this car is beautiful, and it would look even better in silver, or gun metal silver/gray. With that dark red interior that would set it off MUCH better than the white does. Just hate white as a color for any car. Also, I'd suggest getting some coilovers, and lowering it. As soon as you see one lowered, you NEVER like one that isn't again. They drive and look so much better on a good pair of coilovers. Other than that, nice vid.

Volume knob- every mazda, my mazda 3 gt included, very annoying

when you check the oil when the engine is warm, you have to take the dip stick out and give it a few minutes before putting it back in so the oil can settle. then you will get a very easy reading

I just bought a 2024 MX5 RF. It seems here in the Netherlands, there's no option from Mazda for the brace (stiffener) I saw on your car under the bonnet.
I'm not going to have track days, I just bought the car because of its looks.

Is there a need for that brace if I'm just using this car as basic transportation? Thanks, I enjoyed your video.
