Also in NORTH Carolina if a woman is drinking alcohol with a man and has sex with him she CANNOT revoke her consent the next morning. Finally some REAL MEN making laws.

Born and raised in western North Carolina. Used to be a somewhat peaceful vibe, but flawed like any place. The influx of people from Cali, NY, Florida and the remaining states will not be good long-term; from a cultural standpoint. I saw the writing on the wall back in 2015. Good riddance and good luck! 😬

Basically it seems to me not to move there You’re average house is 370k Same as Ma. On a smaller house Your taxes are cheaper but not a lot You’re pay scale is way lower than Ma. How do you figure that this is a good place to move to with these facts I’d be even worse off moving there than living up here Totally disagree with your video

Granted it’s a beautiful state but the housing is very expensive I live in one of the most expensive states and there is not a big difference between them Taxes are a little cheaper but not huge difference For the working man this is not a place to live It’s a great place for the well off or the rich Just wish someone would make a video for the working class that made under 70k a year So sick of seeing beautiful houses I can’t afford Seriously this video is just made for well off people

It’s still way too expensive for most people to retire I live in Massachusetts and I can barely afford to live here and it’s really not a big difference there I totally disagree with this video unless you make over 100k a year This video is made for rich or well off people and retirees with a huge pension Not the normal pension

I left Cary for a small, quiet suburb south of Tucson in '17. The metros of NC are growing too fast, the traffic is annoying, housing costs, etc.

Complete B.S. the state has been wrecked by the mobile gypsy's that move from state to state looking for a better deal. If you like paying high taxes then move here. Has become the California of the east with Chapel hill and Durham being a hot bed for communist. High gas tax , high state income tax, high sales tax and and a labor tax has now been added. My property tax went up 50% and in some places it went up 100% this year. If you like insane drivers then you will get plenty here. The only reason I still live here is because I own property here and my family history on both sides go back to pre revolution.

I live in Charlotte, we have too many people here already. The jobs as a general rule unless you have some specialist skill do not pay that much more than the surrounding areas no matter what the hype says. Cost of living is high, traffic infrastructure is fairly terrible, but on the good side it is actually very easy to make friends or find a date because nobody is originally from Charlotte.

I’m going to call BS. Where there are jobs rent and home prices are very high. Sure you can find cheap if you do remote work here but Charlotte and the RDU is not cheap anymore. It’s amazing how they are growing these cities though so much stuff to do and enjoy. Apple and Epic Games building campuses in the RDU. Prices are going to skyrocket. The weather is truly great gets hot but not like Texas or Florida gets cold but not freezing. Falls are amazing. Beaches and Mountains. Lakes and Rivers. Trails galore. This state is amazing for transfers from California, where you have the same things but can’t afford to live there.

Ehhhh. I lived in Raleigh. Way too expensive for their to be nothing to do. Greensboro boring too but cheaper. Charlotte is amazing though give Charlotte some eater public transportation and it would be a top tier city. Already on complete different level than rest of NC.

Unfortunately when a state becomes desirable to move in, too many people migrate and the peacefulness that attracted those who migrated will be gone. Overpopulation, cost of living will go up, crime rates will go up, traffic will be hell.

The part that is destroying NC, just like some other states. Not just political, but reality! People vote for politicians in their home state, then when the politicians destroy the state, those people move to other states AND VOTE THE SAME WAY which will eventually allow politicians to destroy that state. So many people from Northern states are moving to NC & FL, just like so many from CA are moving to AZ & TX, then voting for the exact same thing that changed their home state to the point they no longer wanted to live there. We don't mind them moving here, but why vote for the same thing they voted for that turned their home state into a ridiculously taxed state and criminal ran state? It's doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.

We were looking at houses in gated beach community, we rode through every couple weeks and checking listings to purchase a house in the 250 home community all on minimum 2.5 acre lots. Riding through the community, houses started at $800k and went up. Approximately 40% of the homes had boats valued at $100k+ sitting on trailers in the driveways with boat covers, approximately 50%+ of the properties had 6' privacy fences around the back yards. One came on the market and I called the HOA prior to setting up showing with the realtor. I told the HOA I was planning on a 6' privacy fence around the back yard, extend the concrete drive through fence gate and park the boat in the back yard behind the fence, wanted to verify that was acceptable with the HOA since other houses had fences and boats in the driveways. She immediately said, no. The community was established 12 years ago and the HOA regulations are currently being re-written "due to complaints". 30 days from now, boats will no longer be allowed on the properties, we will offer an empty lot for boat storage, with monthly fees or boats will have to be stored elsewhere. Also, the new rule on fences will be nothing acceptable but a 3' tall white picket fence. I asked why the changes and she stated, their has been 31 families that purchased houses in the community that don't want to see boats in driveways nor privacy fences, "we get monthly complaints". I drove through there a few more times and talked to 5 homeowners in the community, 2 of which would have been our neighbors. They enlightened us on the issue, of the 31 new homeowners complaining, 7 were from NY and all others were from NJ (None of them owned boats). So, they came down to view the houses while seeing privacy fences and boats in the driveways (in a beach community, on the Intercoastal waterway with a community boat ramp), purchased a house, then complain about the boats in the neighborhood!
Found another new house on 8 acres, exact same thing for the same reason. Someone is supposed to spend $1.2M on a new house on 8 acres, can't fence the back yard for their german shepherds and can't have a boat on the property?

NC used to be great but so many people have moved in and tried to change it like the suckhole they moved from that it is rapidly becoming another yuppified cesspool. Family values are going by the wayside and farmland is being taxed out of affordability for families that have owned the land for at least 5 generations...

#1 in Human trafficking (Charlotte). The state has abysmal education, healthcare and infrastructure. The crime stats are juked by city governments to show reductions. It’s a lie. Anybody who lives here sees that crime is soaring.

It is hot and humid with regular thunderstorms that can throw up tornadoes during July and August, then we have Hurricane season. Around mid February you will have false spring for about a week causing blooms and then a freezing rain will kill it off. Springs have been unusually cold at night so it really depends on your microclimate on if your garden will thrive.

Traffic is horrible with the influx of people far outpacing improvements to infrastructure. Housing costs have ballooned due to the same reasons.

Not sure why anyone would call NC borning as there are a wealth of small towns to explore, hundreds of breweries, an exceptional art museum with one of the largest and most diverse collections in the united states, the largest habitat zoo in the world, tons of street festivals, thriving art communities, a wide range of outdoor activities, vast network of hiking and bike trails, plenty of small to large music venues, diverse food options, cultural festivals, etc. I guess if you just want to shop or go to clubs at your doorstep you will be disappointed. You have to go between the various small cities and towns.

Everyone moving here from places that cost more is the reason why it's getting more expensive here. My neighborhood has houses that were being built brand new for like 150-200k in the early 2000's, but are now randomly all being bought up and resold for more than 500k. Not to mention so many of our employers don't like paying people proper wages. Plus, every morning and afternoon the roads are all being blocked by the endless construction of new "luxury townhomes" and apartment complexes after tearing down all of the woods, and open spaces people seem to love about the state so much. Also, crime here sucks, even in "nice areas" because people will just drive to nice areas to commit crime. Human trafficking is pretty bad here according to statistics, but idk how outdated they are. Oh, and that nice 65 degree weather they think they're getting will actually feel like a thick 80 degrees after the humidity steals all of the oxygen, but that doesn't matter because it's been 90+ here, but feeling like 147 degrees for the past few months. Regardless, I feel like anyone is welcome here, so long as Californians, and New Yorkers they don't vote the state into the ground like they did their home states.
