My wifes civic just hit 10 years old and not 1 single issue. We are giving it to my son and getting a passport. Looked at new crv hybrid - what a hideous looking thing ( what are those weird chrome square scoops on the front?) and the hybrid doe not get great highway milage. The crv tows only 1000 lbs as well. How is that even possible that its that low?
The 3.5 v-6 been around forever and proven. The passport looks great and I like the interior alot. I think testers just need to complain about something. Hard plastic in places you dont touch? Who cares?
I only wish they had a few more color choices. Maybe some after market rims and tires to make it look a little better and do lite offroad.
Is honda going to bring out a 2024 passport?
ОтветитьMy complaint is the missing auto-hold brakes, button for parking, instead of a pedal on the left and the pano sunroof. For this price....come on Honda
ОтветитьHave test driven two Passports (2023). Competent and spacious but the same interior as my 6 year old Ridgeline. I feel like Honda is just stuck on boring and bland. This car screams “Grandma’s Car”!
ОтветитьThe "🤣Bro"
ОтветитьThe problem is most of these features on a Toyota or better models…. You’ll pay 50k+ so your getting a bit of a bargain but yes it is plain they could spice it up but again the old saying… you get what you pay for…. Good job Honda for making us feel we’re not going car poor
ОтветитьJust purchased a 2023. Love it, except .... has anyone else had an issue with the wireless charger for your iPhone? Dealer said (after the purchase) that it was a known issue and wasn't sure Honda could do anything about it? Surely, I'm not the only Honda / Apple consumer, or is this a rare combination. Thanks for any help, or any suggestions for connectivity (I have attempted three different phones, with and without case, orientated in various ways, but keeps turning on for 2-5 seconds then failing). Thanks.
ОтветитьWow, a spare tire!
Ответитьthis or a chevy blazer rs
ОтветитьGood product but so poor inside
ОтветитьLoved the Honda Element. It was the perfect size for urban runaround. Honda really screwed that up. I would’ve gotten another one instead of moving to another brand. The Passport is just too big for the urban arena. The HRV has gotten big and heavy with a CVT.
Thanks for the informative review.
Whining about no Honda EV? Picture yourself in a blizzard in rush hour traffic, many miles from home. Your 1/2 hour commute turns into two hours but you don't make it because your car ran out of power keeping you from freezing. If this EV madness continues, the next generation will be wondering what to do with the mountain of dead and useless giant car batteries.
People still buy muscle cars from the 70's and restore them. Can you ever see that happening with an EV fifty years from now? Sorry, I'll keep my internal combustion engine.
No wonder vehicles are expensive people want all kind of needles tech.
ОтветитьThis might as well just be a marketing video for Honda. No actual criticisms of the vehicle and no helpful insight into ride quality, handling, etc. Completely unhelpful.
ОтветитьCan you get the roof rack on the base model? That is what I want.
ОтветитьGuess your forgetting the extra 1 inch in higher suspension? And I believe the departure angle is better
ОтветитьHow do you know what the vehicle can do off road if you haven’t taken it off the pavement?
ОтветитьI just seen the 2023 model and they didn't even change the interior to a 2023 standard. Let's hope the 2024 version the interior will be upgraded Like the CRV and the Pilot. I guess i will have to wait till 2024..
ОтветитьYou should review the 2023 honda pilot!! I challenge you to find something wrong with it haha. incredible!
ОтветитьThis is exactly why I don't listen to car reviewers like these two. Stick to savage geese or throttle house, driving sports tv is good too
ОтветитьLove those fold up armrests up front, had those in my 2014 CR-V and miss them, so comfortable.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьTraded in our 16 Crv for a 2021 Ex-l last week. Wonderful car to drive and tremendous amount of space. Not a flashy interior, but I think it is handsome and intuitive to use. I don't mind the button shifter at all. Very competent power and relatively efficient on the highway. Great car.
ОтветитьMiss the Element.
ОтветитьWhat is the best commuter car? For a commuting of 35 miles one way?
ОтветитьPassport/Pilot: you are getting a GREAT engine and drivetrain. Also, you got MO (momentum) on your side. In an accident, if a passport and a Santa or Tucson are in a collision the driver of the Passport is more likely to walk away while the Tucson or Santa driver is more likely to be taken away in an ambulance. But hey if washing a few $$$ and digital tech is more ipmortant than your children future, by all means pass on the Passport and get the Santa or Tucson. And, if service and easy repair and buying US made is important, stick with the Honda.
ОтветитьI have a exl 22 and I’m loving it! ❤ coming from a sedan and a Tuscon with less power it’s great for me. Thanks for the videos
ОтветитьWas the road and wind noise higher than the competition since the TrailSport doesn’t have acoustic side windows like in the Elite?
ОтветитьHave had my 2022 Passport EX-L
for a month and love it
I wanted to love this vehicle, but after two test drives I just wasn't feeling it. The Passport is just boring. The drivetrain is great but that's about it. The adaptive cruise control was jerky and the vehicle just lacks personality. I ended up going with a trusty ol' 4Runner.
ОтветитьHope they redesign but leave the v6 as an option. Love to see it like the cx-50 or more of a wagon form.
Ответить86K “but still has a tuning knob” lol, for that money it Should have a tuning knob, after all your paying 86 grand
ОтветитьHonda should bring this to Europe with the new V6 3.0-Turbo engine and lower it 1"~1.5" 😁
ОтветитьIts not coordinated if your wive lays out your clothes for you.
ОтветитьI'm glad Honda is staying away from that EV crap so far...another thing the day I buy a Hyundai or Kia Chev Ford or Dodge over a Honda or Toyota it'll be a snowy day in death valley in mid August...they may have better touch screens and a bit more fancy interiors but for reliability and quality you can't beat Honda and Toyotas period.
ОтветитьBoring review for sure
ОтветитьI agree with Zach that I prefer the gear shifter over the push button gear selector!
ОтветитьI’m so excited to get underwhelmed again, dated dash and interior, their off road is like the TRD cars on Toyota and it just cosmetics
ОтветитьI disagree about the panoramic sunroof those are very expensive to repair if they break and its one more thing to go wrong
ОтветитьI found it interesting that Zack kept mentioning that the off road improvements were merely cosmetic. While that is true, it is important to note that the passport has an excellent AWD system for both on road and light off road. The AWD system is one of the best attributes of the passport and likely much more capable than even many off road focused systems of the competition except the most extreme ones. I believe the new rugged looks match the capability of the vehicle. In the interest of full disclosure, I own a 2020 passport. I am happy to discuss the faults of the passport but off road capability is not one of them. If you need more off road capability, buy a wrangler rubicon. If you don’t need a rubicon, you’ll be happy with the capability of the passport. Thank you to Zack and Andrea for creating such great Canadian car content. Cheers!
ОтветитьIf you're shopping this car keep in mind, there really isn't a big difference in price in America between the EX-L and Trailsport (TS) because most EX-Ls are delivered with AWD and roof rails. This puts the price of the EX-L at or slightly below the TS. If you care about navigation, fog lights, and floor mats the TS might be the better deal. Plus, the 18in wheels feel more comfortable on the road IMO in comparison to the 20in wheels on the EX-L and Elite versions of this vehicle.
ОтветитьNot everyone wants a hybrid. Thanks so much.
ОтветитьFor honda’s defense, the push button shifter is more convinient if you’re getting a head
ОтветитьLooks dated.
Ответитьi got a 2019 passport sport brand new for 29K$ USD, no power seats, no leather, no moonroof.
i enjoy the v6, keyless go, no chrome accents.
it's been 3 years over 20K miles and it is a great vehicle for me.
Why not compare the Mazda CX-50 Turbo or the Meridian Edition. It’s so much nicer and higher end fit and finish.
ОтветитьI don't think these are good criticisms of the vehicle. 1. It's offroad capabilities can be improved for about $1k for a lift and some underbody plating. You can definitely hit Moab with just that and tires. It is probably the most capable offroader in its class and definitely for the price 2. The push button shifter is a vast improvement over the lever because there is never any doubt as to what gear you are in, 3. Sorry the base trim is so capable that the trailsport isn't a big improvement beyond the 18s and slight lift.
ОтветитьJon would have a thing to say about it’s off road abilities
ОтветитьI had a Hyundai Sante Fe and while everyone talks about how much "leg room" it has it doesn't have much headroom for tall people. I now own a Passport Trailsport and love it. It's much faster and practical than my SF.
ОтветитьSince when did all human race have to go off reading?🤨🤔💭 we want fuel efficiency; will I do
