Wheres my acrylic gang at?
Ответитьbrother david *what hats are these*, amazing!
ОтветитьThe fills in this were extra tasty 🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьGotta get that acrylic sq2 or change the title of this video I'm afraid
ОтветитьI just can't get into drums that look like empty Pepsi bottles. 😮
ОтветитьI owned a few RCI kits and they run MUCH Higher!!! 2k is cheap! RCI’s will run you 4-5k
DW acrylic shells are cheaper Chinese shells. RCI is the real deal!!! Yes they do sound better!
Willing to bet that Donner kit is the same sourced shells as the DW’s. You’re paying for the DW name.
DW collectors uses RCI.
My DW acrylic design kit sounded less lively than my RCI kit, the RCI was way more lively and LOUD!
In the airtonight part

ОтветитьAcrylic shells destroy all the blah blah blah that drum manufacturers claim about what perfect timber is required for the best drum sound is now just rubbish to me 😊
ОтветитьAwesome video. I love my crush acrylic kit... What is that crash with the holes to your left? Sounds amazing, so smooth... Take my money zildjian!!
ОтветитьYp50 gives a lot more tuning options and I find it to be better specially for snares. other tension rods are harder to make small increment adjustments when tuning
ОтветитьThe acrylic snare insert definitely sounded like it had more of a “crack”. Liked it better than the wood.
ОтветитьHey 👋🏻 thanks for the great video! Can you tell me which Snare Mic you are using? (tried to find it myself, but i couldn't) Thank you
ОтветитьThat ugly one sounds good tho
ОтветитьThat snare is not it
ОтветитьI’ve just joined by random suggestions and am in freaking LOVE WITH THIS CHANNEL!!!!!! The transitions AHHHHH
ОтветитьLove the DW collectors tension rods. If I'm swapping heads, I just use a basic drill w/ a drum bit, and get it there like 85-90% of the way. Then w/ a tunebot, I can match all the lugs to the exact hz number.
With other drums, I'll always be a little nervous using the drill and I'll get variance between the lugs of 2-3 hz. It sounds pretty good, but DW is all about precision so it's no surprise that they have the tension rods that they do.
I have perfect pitch and so the 10 by 8 collectors wooden shell wasn’t actually a C, it was a C sharp and the acrylic drum shell was a G sharp. Love your work!
ОтветитьYoure a very good drummer!!
ОтветитьYou're a pretty sharp dude brother...
After watching a heck of a lot of drum videos it's great to watch you make common sense.
I think you proved when it comes to kick drums and Tom's.... a drum is a drum.. as long as you pick the right heads and know how to tune.
I'm a Canadian and been in a party / corporate / wedding / Festival band band called Bigg wiggle
For 30 years.
Had my fair share of drum sets but am currently using an acrylic set from a company called RCI...
According to them they make the shells for a lot of big companies..
So for me that video was great. Keep up the good work brother!
I trigger a lot of stuff playing live.. have you ever considered covering that area?
Cheers,
Coop
Sounded like a c# to me
ОтветитьI thought the DONNER kit sounded better.
ОтветитьYou is a best drummer in world ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThe second I saw the “foot cam” it got my like 😂
ОтветитьRandom thought; i like the idea that you could completely submerge an acrylic kit in water and itll be fine after being dried. More realistically, it wont obsorb moisture from humid basements or spilled beer. Can tou please tell me how accurate the measurements are on the drums circumference of the toms? I really wanna find a set with perfect roundness. Every wood tom ive measured is off about 1/8th inch; which in my mind is messing with tuning. Anyway, thanks for the great video.
ОтветитьHow the hell do you afford all this
Ответитьlove hearing dave play bucket of fish
ОтветитьWhat mic are you using on the snare?
BTW- thank you for your channel. If you're ever in L.A. let me know and I'll take you to dinner.
Dude. You could make a sardine can and a paint bucket sound good. Next level - Legendary Kits played by you. Start in the Jazz era work forward artist by artist.
ОтветитьFundamental of the DW shell is indeed pretty darn close to a C. I don’t have perfect pitch, but I do have a piano app lol
Ответитьis there a difference in the integrity and sound quality of the seamless DW Acrylic compared to a seamed Ludwig Acrylic?
ОтветитьI have the same D W kit I bought during the plandemic. 8,10,12,14,16,22 Minus The 14 inch acrylic snare which spider cracked (Actually it looks like it Shattered )in three different lug places. Snare was well taken care of doesn't make sense.
ОтветитьFloor tom sounded great
ОтветитьThey sound good.
Ответить704. Its an f
Ответить647. Its a c
ОтветитьWho is it that actually makes the acrylic shells for Donner, Pearl and DW? Are they coming from the same company?
ОтветитьWhat hi hat cymbals are you using?
ОтветитьI love how this is the most expensive, and the other was the cheapest, and the difference is $1k which isn't a lot qll things considered lol
ОтветитьJust so everyone knows. I just bought this kit!. It should be here in 2 days!!
Ответитьand to think these only costed 1600€ just a couple of years ago
ОтветитьVery well explained, acrylic is just not for me.
ОтветитьThe tension rods on collectors called vari pitch and the finer thread means that you can do finer adjustments in tuning with small turns of a tuning key
Ответитьyes, that was a C, good sir.
ОтветитьFor the most part all the drum shells you mic-up and EQ sound pretty much the same. Do a blind test see if we can tell the cheapest for the most expensive.
ОтветитьCan you put the cheap head clear on this kid because it might look good so the snow ahead can have a matching head
ОтветитьI know this is an older vid but never hurts
If you want more of the bearing edge to be In focus go to your camera setting and change your aperture to something like f8.0 or lower however you will need more light if your talking about image detail I would get a more expensive lens
Twas a c#
