i have some desktop computer speakers which is had no sub and someone gave me a home theater sub which is 5' with 25w of power and 4 ohms i cleaned everything and restored it. i used this similar amp for my sub and modified the rca connections from the desktop speakers and i tested it the sub was blasting bass unexpectedly with full vol and bass vol but the treble is all the way down and connected the positive lead at left and negative lead from the right, it turned out great perfect for indoor music speakers for listening what song i like, the bass was smooth with little bit of distortions at high volume so this amp was great

Thing is garbage... type F amplifier. I used it on an ATV where the engine was almost louder. It can't even push 2 6x9's. Trash trash trash

I had a red one years ago, I rember the lighting not working but it was a great little amplifier for someone getting into speakers and audio stuff, I've had it for about 7 years and it still works! It cuts out if the volume knob is touched or not lined up precisely. Defnitly worth the money though

I have a few of these, under various brands, i think this is just another brand etc, i run it off an isolated 12v supply, for a portable sound system rig or battery powered rig , they are amazing
they sound way better with more current available to them so they dont get all farty

Okay, just as a stopgap - I got a very cheap generic Car Play head unit, replacing an older aftermarket CD player in my old car. I guess the old head unit had a pre-amp, because the volume was always plenty loud enough. But with the new head unit, I have to max the volume and for some songs it's still not loud enough. Again, just as a stop gap - it's a very old car I'll be replacing within a couple of years - it seems like this would do the trick to just boost the volume a bit? Would I just wire it directly to the audio inputs of the head unit, or does it need to be wired to the speakers?

I have an old Sony stereo that the control unit burnt-out and did not want to get rid of the speaker so I searched and searched and came across this small amps and decided to give one a try and surprisingly it works very well, brought them old speakers back to life 😅.

Let me tell you a secret . Get your self a gaming computer power supply . Cut all plugs . Pitt all yellow wires as one . Same with black wires . Connect the green wired to any black wired to turn power on .
Make sure you get one that has at least 60 amps . For what you got I recommend over 100 amps .
Even greater if you wish . The higer the amp the better .
Computer power supply are all high current . Power can’t drop . You don’t need a battery . You can clean all those wires . You be impressed.

Have to say i have used these kinter amps on 20v drill battery and it is easiest way to make powerful portable bluetooth speaker with budget, my kinters model is ma500
Ma500 costs like 50 bucks and it is worth it 4 channels and you can use it 10-20volts, in 20volt usage it gives lots of power with low temperatures

Their 'specifications' are straight out of the advertiser's head and mean nothing. When they quote 400w output you can divide that by 100, and their quotes for distortion can be multiplied by 100! Still, what a great little amp for a youngster to buy with his birthday money and start to create his first stereo at home. It certainly fits the bill looks-wise, and it does make a sound, so a kiddy would love it as a first foray into the world of stereo and hi-fi.

It'd be interesting to run through a few of the dirt-cheap amps and receivers that you see advertised by Amazon sellers and others, eg TEMU, Ali Express etc. I'm 66 and when I was a (very poor!) little kid getting hold of things like woofers, tweeters, crossovers, amps etc was almost impossible, and there were no municipal tips either, so you were really out of luck. I tried to make a miniature stereogram with a mono MW radio and two completely different speakers, but it was bloody rubbish. Thankfully young people today have the facilities to become very creative so that by the time they can buy their first car they can make sure their first self-owned domain has some banging hi-fi so they can drive around waking everyone up, ha ha ha!

Your smps powersupply is probably very noisy causing the static noise and the wirering can be very sub par in relation to the ability to deliver power and again causing a higher level thd. Try connecting it to the battery directly and see if the lower frequencies is handled better (the higher energy demand at lower frequencies could be a symptom)

I have this installed in my car for my PA system, and its given me no issues. I got it for $8 used on amazon warehouse too. For the price it's great for my project
