I agree to an extent, but some of us have no choice but to take what’s in front of us in a dire situation. The Navy helped me get out of a broken home and made college a reality for me. Also, as an IT, I was able to obtain all types of certifications while I was enlisted, and I was able to use them when I was out of the Navy. Therefore, I have no regrets whatsoever that I joined.
