Diablo 1 | The Full Story (Including All Cut Quests)

I would like a Diablo like this again. A single town you are trying to save that sits ontop of Hell. Not multiple towns and acts. This is the only memorable Diablo and I’ve played them all

With the potion cheat, you can increase all your stats to max, and all your swords to max power. Some potions are only found once in Hellfire gameplay, that increases the strength of the sword by one. You can duplicate the potions with a cheat found online.

Today was my first (and last) time playing Diablo 1. Don't get why many people like it. I got it because my friends told me to give it a try. Horrible from the start. Bad graphics, super laggy, I couldn't run. Super complicated gameplay and mechanics (I didn't know how to equip items or drink a potion). I lasted up until the butcher quest, where I lost in less than 60 seconds. Didn't even last 25 minutes. 👎

I played only the Diablo 2, but the first one, its indeed much darker

This was a mind blowing game at the time. The perfect balance of arcade like action, RPG, with multiplayer.

The first time that I played this game was in 1996 using a Pentium 100. Good memories, my 15 years old.

I love calling Samael Samuel. It sounds so innocuous

The story for D1 really is unparalleled. It's almost like D1 is the main story and all the sequels are just epilogues to the main events that are D1. I think it has to do with the fact that the cast is so small and you get to know them so well. There are recurring characters in 2-4 for sure, including some who stick with you on your journey, but none of the games connected me with the supporting cast as much as D1 since you have to talk to them so much and they are always the ones helping you out, as opposed to splitting the supporting cast up between acts.

Not trying to be that guy, but because of how much cut content and modding is going on in this, is it really an accurate telling of the story? Did any of the cut content actually happen?

I've played every diablo game except the first one and i'm so glad i found this video to give me the whole diablo 1 experience. To its best approach of course. I mean I did play it but I was too young to know what's happening and i can barely remember it. All i recall is running around electrocuting enemies with the sorcerer character

The Butcher Quest is interesting, but I think the choice to cut it down was the right one.

The Butcher is better the less complex he is.

What if all this cut story simply unfolded during Playthrough 2. Easy mode always abridges everything and keeps details. Hmmm.

Apart from the Cut Quests, even some of the OG D1 Quests were different in my experience... Like the Butcher being in ANOTHER Room of Corpses and a cutscene? Wth... oO

Diablo 1 was such an amazing game for it's time. I played it on the PS1 before I got a PC. I had a level 42 sorcerer or something like that, which was pretty insane considering the PS1 version only had normal mode. An ex-gf's kid deleted my character. I was pretty upset, but it is what it is. Tempted to buy a PS1 and play it there again... or I guess I could just play it on PC with a controller.

Hello , might I suggest a complete story video for Inquisitor ( 2012 ) ? The story is great but the gameplay is not that enjoyable and there is barely any coverage for this game. Also , an interesting fact : The game has a sequel in the form of a novel called Inquisitor : Renesance zla ( Inquisitor : The Renaissance of Evil ) but it has to this day not been translated to english and doubt it ever will.

Thanks for the effort, great way to experience Diablo 1 in all it's glory without having to wrestle it myself. Good job on balancing your storytelling and gameplay, was a joy to watch!

Im so thankful you do these videos. I played diablo when I was about 10 and spent most of that time running from the butcher. Now I have the urge to replay it but know the character speed and lack of inventory would drive me crazy. Thanks to you I can get my itch scratched.
