Eldrazi displacer is my top pick, for 2 generic and 1 colorless you get to blink a creature, it goes infinite with paragrin drake

This is a fun deck :) I used it and made some minor upgrades.. "mirror entity" is a powerful budget friendly addition imo

Wouldn’t Lagrella, the Magpie be a better, upgraded version of Brago, king eternal? It is a green white blue commander with converted mana cost 3, and when you play her you exile any number of target creatures players control. When she dies, every exiled card comes back with two +1 +1 counters on it.

I've been running this deck with soul herder and hero of bretagard. Both get massive really quickly when you get the engine going. Also running restoration angel and flickrwisp to double up on etbs

I like the style of this deck. But I think you could've also including abusing Mana rocks because they do not follow summoning sickness. There are plenty of cheap rocks that could be added.

I would add Commanding Presence Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and has first strike and "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, create a 1/1 white Human Soldier creature token." It is about 0.2 USD

I made this deck, and let me tell ya... This is nearly CEDH-tier good, it swarms off like nothing I've seen, at a crazy speed that slower decks have a hard time catching up with.

However I think the one main weakness is that after all the gamepieces are set, there're few late game Mana sinks to deal with the spare mana, and no discard outlet for all the spare drawn cards. I've put in a few cards like Azure Mage (which might be switched out for Spectral Sailor) and Teferi HoD and Venser. I'm bethinking putting in maybe Memnarch or Walking Ballista to dump late game Mana into.

Dude, this deck is a BEAST!!! I piloted it on Friday night and I ran away with the game both times, but I was killed by unlockable commander damage by my friend the first game, and the second game my other friend combo'd off with his Saheeli deck with 88 copies of Myr Battlesphere.

One card that people tend to forget that works so well with Brago is Nevermaker from Morningtide... Man, do your opponents hate you when you hit them with a double-striked Brago.

This is a really great deck! But my question is, how do you ensure Brago hits? Where’s the aqueous form? Sure he has flying, but I don’t think it’s a surefire way to hit. Thanks for the sick deck!

How 'bout giving him double strike? Double up on all those ETB's. Battle Mastery (white aura) is below the ¢25 limit, and Grappling Hook and Fireshrieker (equipments) are both budget friendly and could be included in the upgraded decks.

Can you do a blink deck tech on Emiel, the Blessed !?

I just put together a Yorion deck recently. I would recommend a budget deck with him as well. Cool thing about Yorion is you can get other etbs to blink him, so you can chain multiple mass blinks in the time Brago can get one. You can even get creatures like Felidar Guardian to blink stuff in and out on every player's turn. So it seems Yorion needs more setup, but can churn out more blinkage.

It's janky, but I put some pieces in like Rising Waters (unfortunately not quite in budget range here) which means my opponents only untap one land, but as long as I can blink it out through my turn I can untap them all :).


I'm surprised to not see Kor Cartographer in here, or Reality Acid, but perhaps you couldn't find them under $0.25 at the time. Exceptionally good though.

I'd also recommend Scroll of Fate, though also probably juust over budget. To me that card reads "tap: put a permanent card from your hand onto the battlefield".

That's a lot of rambling. I could go on because I love this deck, but I'll be done.

So uh, just wanted a rules question. Jeering Homonculus says to goad things, but the rules text for goad doesn’t say the goaded creature can’t attack you. It says it must attack another player if able. So if you are the only remaining player, it must attack you, right? That’s how I’ve seen goading in my time

Great job Mitch, Brago is a fun commander (for the person playing him) and your deck looks great - especially considering the budget limitation. If you want to up the power (and the salt 😅) spend 25 cents on Reality Acid, then watch as everything your opponents control starts to disappear and everyone starts to detest Brago. Unfortunately I know from personal experience - my playgroup made me retire the eternal king! 😩

Cloudform and Lightform do not cause ETB triggers, since the permanent is already on the battlefield. If you are making this deck, you should probably swap these out. Maybe Reality Strobe or Treasure hunter could be possible replacements?

Hey budget bros, here's a secret tech for bounce/blink decks: Captivating Glance is a three mana aura that can be used to change ownership of a creature, then next turn you can blink it to enchant a different one. Due to the way its worded, the steal effect never ends! Also can be used for political purposes and getting a bit of card selection.

I believe Azor is a great, not really expensive, addition to this deck. I use it on a Brago + sphinx sub theme with unesh and it's great

Fun fact, this video length is 1314 and in Chinese it can sound like “forever”. Which is thematically fitting for Brago.

With so many aura's heliod's pilgrim makes sense and you might as well add curator's ward for protection and reality acid repeatable removal

I've said it in the past and my opinion is the same: I really like how crushing quarters' reasonable upgrades are really cheap cards too when compared with the normal deck techs

For anyone building this on MTGO. You cannot get Jeering Homunculus on MTGO. I was confused why none of the bots had it. Peregrine Drake however is featured as a direct swap in upgrades and is 0.02 tix.
