I take it the firing pin gets magnatized because of the milling processing? If i dont have a demagnitizer can i just heat it up a bit in an oven. I know heating can help demag, but dont know if this would mess with the hardness of the pin.

I just bought one today, a nitride one for 55 bucks. For that price it is very worth it. Thanks!

Quick question, my LWRC BCG slides down about a millimeter or so when I stand it up on the bolt face. Is this normal or does that mean the rings are going? I have about 1.5k rounds through it and its been fantastic so far. One of my favorite features is the gas key is built into the carrier itself which gives me a little piece of mind.

I'd like to see how an HK or POF 416 bcg with their roller cam, captive spring firing pin and special coating would test out under your scrutiny.

Would replacing the gas rings improve the gas efficiency even with the bolt body irregularities?

I’m new subscriber. And as a combat vet I appreciate the detail. And as a manual machinest I can also. With that said where can I get the gauges and tools you use?

I run their NiB BCG’s. For the money, I like them.

Do you have a preference on the 4 or 5 coil Sprinco ejector springs?

Chad, I was curious about the gas key alignment test. When you test, the upper is upside down, would it make a difference if the upper was right side up? I imagine that the BCG would shift some. Would/could that cause an alignment issue to rear it's ugly head in some cases?

@instructor chad, do you have an email address? I have a question about a new rifle I just bought and it has bad machining. Was thinking about sending it to you to find out what exactly is wrong .

A little tip we use in the toolroom... if you put a shop rag on your demagnetizer, you can slide things across it without worrying about scratching things. Great videos, thanks for all the reviews and info!
