I use only what I know. Nothing I don’t know. I always read the ingredients on the list. I’m concern with the first 5 or 6 on the list. The price doesn’t always mean better.

Yes! Hello LabMuffin and shampoo trials! I personally love Pantene and I don't plan to ever spend $25 on a bottle of shampoo. It's not broken, so I'm not fixin' it.

I've used drugstore cheap hair products most of my life and I can't tell the difference. I have fine hair so as long as it's not for dry hair or a moisturizer, I haven't had any issues. It's how you take of your hair that matters and how to use products the right way.

Yes please…..Science is good! A comparison between high end (expensive) vs lower end (cheaper) would be very welcome. So often we are marketed to death and can’t make reasonable decisions based on results that are factual.

I just watched this video and wondered if you knew about the Yuka app. You scan the product's barcode and the app tells you if the product is safe.
They rate products from excellent to good then poor and bad being the worst. I use it for all my hair, skin and makeup products. If it rates less than excellent I usually skip buying it. It lists how hazardous the ingredients are, why amd if the ingredients have been banned in any countries.
I live in the United States and lots of ingredients banned in other countries that can harm you are allowed here. It's kind of scary. I use it at the Dollar Tree all the time.
I highly recommend it. It's free to download and use or you can pay from the premium version.

I scan my hair care and facial products; cosmetics, with my "Yuka" app. It's difficult to find products that do not contain hazardous ingredients such as " Butylphenyl methylpropional", an endocrine disruptor, or "Cyclomethicone", a silicone. I won't buy it if it doesn't score well. The higher price point products are not any safer than low end. Thanks for diving deep into the ingredients! Your interest in ingredients struck a chord with me.

As a Type 3A curly girl I used to use only Innersense Organic Beauty products but now I embrace sodium laureth sulfate and other surfactants. My only gripe is how many products now have Cocamidopropyl betaine. it dries the heck out of my hair and it is in all shampoos and cleansers. Coconut anything is also a protein, so it is not great for protein sensitive hair.
