I just dont get the point of hunting over 'bait'....maybe hunt the travel corridors leading to it? idk, just not for me. That buck and any other deer deserves better
ОтветитьWhere is this around, I might have been near here a couple times
ОтветитьBeen watching episodes of Canada in the rough on and off from its beginning. I don’t watch much tv, usually just online content.
Firstly, great cinematography, quality workmanship and a good way to promote Canada as the greatest hunting destination on earth.
There’s a but…. 👍
It’s not only this show, but any hunting or fishing related show, so no finger pointing only at Canada in the Rough.
The content has been catered to outfitters, plug and play, eat, sleep, go to the set up done by others and has turned into more just target practice like a rifle range. That may be appealing to a small percentage of the hunting public, maybe 5% of hunters annually.
What’s being lost in the process of the outdoors shows is the education of hunting for up and coming hunters to pass on the past time that our fathers and grandfathers taught us.
Finding land, finding deer, finding mature bucks, building different types of deer hunting set ups, ground, tree stand, box blinds and approaches to them, wind, weather, being prepared for the changing elements, field dressing and care and so much more.
Without the knowledge, younger hunters just won’t have success or the education needed to be successful woodsmen.
Outdoors shows used to be more educational, tips, tricks and techniques.
95% of hunters do not use outfitters to do all the leg work.
Presenting hunting as a pay someone to set you up is great for the silver spooned folks that have no interest other than shooting a deer.
This criticism isn’t directed solely to one particular show, more the change that’s occurring in all outdoor programming.
I think that doing some shows without the use of outfitters, walking youngsters through the hunting process and what it actually takes to be a skilled, well rounded woodsman and successful hunter will help to carry on the hunting traditions.
Clearly, that wolf's been feeding - he's got blood around his mouth.
