Im surprised there aren't homeless people dwelling in there
Ответитьmy dad renovated the Houston House in newburg Missouri. it was a bar bed breakfast type thing and he tried to keep it as original as possible. it was three stories and behind it was the Harrison House that he owned too (i think). i remember as a small kid when he was renovating it, i was the gopher to go under the super dark small places under the house to put wire or pipes or something. i was really small and scared to death but he stayed in voice shot of me to direct me and keep light on me. i was the only one that could fit. i used to LOVE exploring that place. they even had an “elevator” by the kitchen, it had ropes to pull yourself up and down. i wish you would explore that one! there are railroads practically in front of the house so that is who they served originally.
ОтветитьJust because it's vacant does it mean it's abandoned the yard is too well cap for it to be abandoned
ОтветитьLast i knew, this house, which sits on 2.5 acres, was available for purchase at $38K. Ive been prayong someone purchases it and restores it again.
ОтветитьIt is from the 1860’s or 70’s. That makes it about 150 years old.
ОтветитьSo sad, it makes me want to cry :( What a beautiful home it once was, and it's tragic to see it in such ruin :(
ОтветитьIt's The Pink Palace!!! In the movie Coraline, they made Wybie and Mrs. Lovat Black characters. It makes me wonder if someone from the studio knew about this home and its history. Kinda like an Easter egg we never knew existed. I wish I was rich. I would love to restore this house back to its former glory regardless of the costs.
Also, the fact that the landscape around the home is being maintained surely means that someone still loves that home even if they can't afford to restore it. 😢
The exterior of the house looks very close to that of the home in Coraline, which just adds to the slight haunted feel from the damage. Either way, it’s still a beautiful home that with enough work could have a slight chance at restoration.
ОтветитьThis must be that Barbie Dreamhouse I've heard so much about!
ОтветитьWhere is this house located?
ОтветитьThis beautiful home left to ruin breaks my heart.. I hate seeing such craftsmanship let fall in on itself. Maintained, this home would outlast anything built today. How happy and proud the people who had it built must have been on their first day in it! It would have been magnificent! I hope that if their spirits linger there, it appears as beautiful to them now as it was then. ♥️
ОтветитьOH WOW! The music is perfect!
ОтветитьCaroline eres tú? 😮
Ответитьthis property reminds me of the pink palace apartments in the Coraline film
ОтветитьI wish someone will buy this beautiful home & have it restored to the fullest. Such a lovely structure 💓
ОтветитьYou mention the house is 200 years old meaning it would have been built in 1823 at the end of the Federal style. But it's actually the Second Empire Mansard style which began about 1860. Yet the amount of trim suggests it was built in the late 1800's. The trim is more valuable than the house at this point due to all the water/mold decay. Original wood trim or 'gingerbread' is very costly when found. The ornate iron or sometimes copper crowns or 'cresting' along the roof lines are even more valuable and pricey when found.
Ответить❤❤❤
Ответитьale sie wkurzalam caly czas jak nic nie mowili o coralinie, i tam tgdzie sa te graty i ta gra to w tym miejscu byly male drzwi..
ОтветитьLook into the Black Victorian's and you may rethink this Narrative!!
ОтветитьThis looks like the house from coriline
ОтветитьWhere is this place located ?
This would be nice if someone stepped up to save it
How does one go about buying properties like this like if someone is interested in an abandoned house who do they even contact to purchase it?
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful structure, such a shame that is has gone to crumbled pieces. It must have looked amazing if it was all dressed up for Christmas time...
The woodwork is fantastic. doors, windows. makes me very sad, this should be a Historic Landmark with its history. Thank you for sharing this adventure.
I would ❤ to see this house restored
ОтветитьGives of Coraline pink palace vibes
ОтветитьThis kind of reminds me of the pink palace from coraline
ОтветитьCoraline's house!
ОтветитьWas Uncle Fester home?
ОтветитьI clicked on this because it said room for Underground Railroad. Clickbait
ОтветитьJust think the people who risked their lives to save these ungrateful savages to a free life now are asking their ancestors for reparations.
Honestly I'm on the fence if they should just tear it down or not from that shit stain. Disgusting that now the descendants of the majority of whites never owned slaves yet these mammies and Jequarius' are now asking the white population for hand outs for all eternity.
I changed my mind burn down and demolish this dump to make it a point to not help anyone like Scott Adams said.
I think you should write to the state and the county to try to get this home preserved and restored. It's a piece of American history. Military history and underground railroad/ Emancipation history. Don't let it disappear 💔
ОтветитьWe had more time. We weren't always rushing through everything. Even 40 years ago we were rushing less. Quality craftsmanship was still popular 🙏🏻
ОтветитьIts giving Coraline,
ОтветитьLooks somewhat like Phantom Manor from Disneyland Paris! Gorgeous, gorgeous house ❤️
ОтветитьI wonder if there couldnt be some way to save some of that beautiful woodwork. I loved those stairs, windows, and doors, especially the pocket doors.
ОтветитьBRO, THAT'S CORALINE'S HOUSE😳😭
ОтветитьLooks like The Addams family house!
ОтветитьThis is just like the pink palace apartments from coraline
