The pivot is 0.24mm, the pivot is bent or broken, the wheel cannot be replaced. The solution: Drill the old pivot out - fit a new one. But first we need a center drill guide or it will all go horribly wrong.
Ответитьis that something like a common repair.... i ve a wheel with a broken pivot and impossible to find a spare.... any suggestion abouy a repair shop in europe?

Hello, what otitis do you use? THANKS
Wonderful, I wish if you were living in Montreal/Canada to cooperate with you on a daily basis as I am a watches collector, especially the vintage, highly valuable watches. Thank you very much , your effort to do these very interesting videos is absolutely highly appreciated. Dr A. KHATIB

ОтветитьAmazing work!! Unfortunately in my city, watchmakers hide from the public and none so far, will do custom repairs like this. I know… I’ve tried:(

ОтветитьHello,
I really like this video of yours!
Where did you buy those Drill Bits?
Mark,
This may actually solve a problem I have with a Escape wheel pivot. The movement has no markings other than a K so I am having issues finding a replacement. I am taking your watch repair course and I haven't serviced 1 movement as of yet, I did win several from eBay which should be here any day. I want to service all 5 before moving on to course 3. I've learned so much from your first two courses, and am very grateful you put so much time and effort into producing them.
Thanks, good tip on making a centering hole. The jig seems to be to keep the graver from floating. I'm going to try using s small graver, might be able to get sufficiently close to avoid making a jig.
ОтветитьSuper
ОтветитьNothing short of genius!
ОтветитьThe day when I'll be able to reproduce that is not for tomorrow!!! Pity but dramatically true.
ОтветитьFantastic. So professional!
