+1 for: Why I didn't... Plastic Surgery
After watching your 'so you want to be a plastic surgeon' you to totally changed my mind about what plastic surgery actually is, and surprisingly found it a great fit for me, especially because I'm super obsessed with details and meticulousness and I love surgeries so much! 😁 So PLEASE what are the cons of it?!
HUGE THANKS 😊❣️

Great vid man, but while I agree the general GI procedures lack the complexity of surgery, there are advanced endoscopic procedures than can be super complex (esp in the academic setting) that often require a multidisciplinary approach with interventional rads, surgery, etc :)

With all due respect... have you heard of advanced endoscopy? What about third space endoscopy? Very complex procedures, much more so than lap chole and hernia repairs.

Your the most education channel I have seen in past years. I love the content! I have been looking into gastronology to study the gut and ibs / chrones and I'm wondering if there is a smaller career path to get there besides doing 12 years then to specialize in just the gut. I'm not interested in throat and the other avenues of the field. I'm not educated in the schooling sciences. Is there a different science/ doctoret for just focusing on gut?

It sucks because most of these diseases are neurological in their origins. ( autoimmune, genetics)-enteropathies. I suffer from esophageal aperistalsis and as consequence i have LPR and feel SOB 24/7.

Great video. I enjoy hearing your insights. From a biased viewpoint I think even routine endoscopy procedures has a lot of nuances that require ongoing thought and learning to make decisions in real time as to what you are looking at when Encountering pathology. The technology side of it is also extremely interesting with addition of modalities like narrowband imaging and as Dr Chang pointed out therapeutic procedures. Like you said to pick up those nuances somewhere we have to spend a bit of time looking at procedures to understand that there is a routine component but constant attention and learning even during a simple EGD is often essential to avoid missed lesions and characterizing pathology that may not be common. Either way love your channel and your insights.

Did the spit test, resulted POSITIVE. Did the urine lab-test 3 days after, and resulted NEGATIVE. Did spit test again, Positive again. Do I have stomach candida?
I do have a yeast infection on my left arm though.
