ОтветитьIt was very interesting to see your perspective since you’ve been through it all in med school and as a PGY.. Please do more !!
ОтветитьCan I know which animation software you use in making videos of med school insiders
ОтветитьSuper interesting to get both the subjective and objective opinions. I’d love to see more! I’m very curious as to how you decided against other surgical specialties like neurosurgery
ОтветитьMORE
ОтветитьI would love to see more of your subjective “why I didn’t” videos
ОтветитьPlease do more of these series.. this is really unique content. lets us see from both sides of the coin
Ответить+1 for: Why I didn't... Plastic Surgery
After watching your 'so you want to be a plastic surgeon' you to totally changed my mind about what plastic surgery actually is, and surprisingly found it a great fit for me, especially because I'm super obsessed with details and meticulousness and I love surgeries so much! 😁 So PLEASE what are the cons of it?!
HUGE THANKS 😊❣️
I am in my fifth year of medical school with crohns disease and thinking of ga
Your videos are very helpful
Gotta make the decision for specialty next year
Great vid man, but while I agree the general GI procedures lack the complexity of surgery, there are advanced endoscopic procedures than can be super complex (esp in the academic setting) that often require a multidisciplinary approach with interventional rads, surgery, etc :)
ОтветитьWith all due respect... have you heard of advanced endoscopy? What about third space endoscopy? Very complex procedures, much more so than lap chole and hernia repairs.
ОтветитьI loved this video. Im a med student in Brazil and before I get in med school I started the graduation in nutrition, so I was in love with GI sistem and nutrition but now Im definitely in love with Derm, Mohs Surgery, Cosmiatry.... etc
ОтветитьLove your videos, I recently started vlogging my med school journey and you are really inspiring!!
ОтветитьAre you a plastic surgeon now? What specialty did you pursue instead?
ОтветитьWhich GI doctors did you shadow during your time at UCLA?
ОтветитьObviously, plastics was not for you either 😅
ОтветитьI would love to see more of this
Ответитьplease do one of these for cardiology!!!
Ответитьjai hind
ОтветитьI had a very similar story with IBD almost persuading me to become a gastroenterology but ended up pursuing something else
ОтветитьBro will you make a vedio on carrying angle specially for cubitas valgus how we cured it?
ОтветитьIf you don’t mind me asking, how much busier are pulmonary specialist compared to prior years? Trying to explain to someone who doesn’t believe in Covids impact by . The death rate is no longer convincing for reasons i’m sure you have heard. But In terms of percentages or numbers, what would you say? Double? Quadruple?
ОтветитьOmg Kevin....its my second semester of freshman year at ohio state and I.......just got diagnosed with crohn's disease and missed a week of school because I was in the hospital for my first ever flare up, twins;)
ОтветитьWe want why I didn't Neurosurgery.
ОтветитьI'm a gastroenterologist and I look forward to my endoscopy sessions everyday.... in whatever specialty u cant run away from clinic sessions. even surgical patients need to be managed on an outpatient basis
ОтветитьYour the most education channel I have seen in past years. I love the content! I have been looking into gastronology to study the gut and ibs / chrones and I'm wondering if there is a smaller career path to get there besides doing 12 years then to specialize in just the gut. I'm not interested in throat and the other avenues of the field. I'm not educated in the schooling sciences. Is there a different science/ doctoret for just focusing on gut?
ОтветитьOmg I was diagnosed with Crohn's at 17 years old and I really want to be a gastroenterologist 🥺🥺
Ответить14 days had now passed since I have tried this acid reflux disease medication “Aυstin Samupko” (do Go ogle to find it) and the suffering which was once troubling so much are all gone. I`m now back to my daily activities. I am back again at this point to my spicy meals that were forbidden in the past.
ОтветитьHey Kevin, great to see you're still doing medical videos. Enjoyed this and hope you make this a series. Hope you're doing well.
ОтветитьYou have great videos, very informative and motivating 👏👏
ОтветитьIt sucks because most of these diseases are neurological in their origins. ( autoimmune, genetics)-enteropathies. I suffer from esophageal aperistalsis and as consequence i have LPR and feel SOB 24/7.
ОтветитьGreat video. I enjoy hearing your insights. From a biased viewpoint I think even routine endoscopy procedures has a lot of nuances that require ongoing thought and learning to make decisions in real time as to what you are looking at when Encountering pathology. The technology side of it is also extremely interesting with addition of modalities like narrowband imaging and as Dr Chang pointed out therapeutic procedures. Like you said to pick up those nuances somewhere we have to spend a bit of time looking at procedures to understand that there is a routine component but constant attention and learning even during a simple EGD is often essential to avoid missed lesions and characterizing pathology that may not be common. Either way love your channel and your insights.
ОтветитьHow they get doctor's interested in gastroenterology. "Hey, you interested in photography? We have a job for you." Jim Gaffigan. lol
ОтветитьSo reaffirming that everything he disliked coherently explained to myself why I will like gastroenterology ! Thank you, top quality as always too x
ОтветитьI imagine that a positive aspect of being a gastroenterologist would be that you will always have amusing dinner stories of random shit (shit both literally and figuratively speaking) found in people's colons
ОтветитьI want to see more of these Videos!!!
ОтветитьI was diagnosed ibd (ulcerative colitis)
I need your opinion
Surgery is suitable or not?
As stress cause attacks?
I wanted to be gastroenterologist but I changed my thoughts, decided to be simple person who always helps people. I mean, I decided to learn much more about herbalife nutrition, because it helped me to treat my guts, intestines. I love herbalife 💚
ОтветитьSo u ended up in plastic and recon surgery?? (-gastro here)
ОтветитьI would love to see "why I didn´t urology" and your perspective about the pros and cons of this speciality
ОтветитьI would love to see tips on how to publish
ОтветитьThinking of GI because of EoE. Very nice to hear this point of you!
ОтветитьYour why is very similar to mine. although I am 22 and two months away from graduating with a Honours bachelors in Accounting, is it too late to make a complete 360 in life to become a gastroenterologist?
ОтветитьI don't have a doctor and I don't know who to ask.
Did the spit test, resulted POSITIVE. Did the urine lab-test 3 days after, and resulted NEGATIVE. Did spit test again, Positive again. Do I have stomach candida?
I do have a yeast infection on my left arm though.
Just commenting for the algorithm 💛
ОтветитьThank you Kevin for your valuable videos! Could you please talk about the reason you withdrew plastic surgery residency?? Thank you, Peace.
